Elysee Scientific Cosmetics: Product review

Hello lovelies! I recently received foundation and concealer from Elysee Scientific Cosmetics and wanted to make sure to get you a product review before your next holiday party.

Elysee Scientific Cosmetics has been in business since 1923 and all those years of knowledge really show when it comes to the performance of their Skin Transforming Foundation and ON CAMERA Soft Lens Special Treatment Concealer.

Skin Transforming Foundation, ($25.00 USD 1.0 oz), is recommended for all skin types, contains SPF15 and is hypoallergenic. I love the lightweight feel of this foundation and the great coverage that it provides. There is nothing but positive to say about the performance of this amazing foundation. The only caution that I have for readers are the shade descriptions: Porcelain, Pale Beige, Natural Beige and Vanilla Cream, which to me would leave one thinking that these shades are geared for light skin … not so!

Elysee’s Special ON CAMERA Soft Lens Special Treatment Concealer ($15.00 USD 0.25 oz), comes in three shades: Nude, Cameo and Mimosa Rose. The ON CAMERA Soft Lens Special Treatment Concealer Wheel ($22.50 USD 0.10 oz) contains all three shades and is perfect for people like me who need to mix concealer shades to obtain the right color combination. These concealers offer amazing coverage without a heavy “over done” look.

Elysee Scientific Cosmetics states, “Our magic potion hides, corrects and adapts! Helps to capture and diffuse light for a softening effect on all areas of the face…to highlight the cheekbones, above the eyebrows to create the illusion of a browlift, under eyes to conceal dark circles, on eyelids as a primer, or anywhere else, for the appearance of small imperfections and shadows to be miraculously brushed away.”

The Makeup Examiner honestly has no idea about the illusion of a browlift, but Elysee’s foundation absolutely does what foundation is supposed to do, it covers without that heavy, veil look or feel and their concealers do as well. Elysee Scientific Cosmetics are available on their website and on HSN.
