Kim Kardashian gets a ‘vampire facelift’

In an episode of “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami” that aired Sunday, March 10, Kim Kardashian gets a blood facial, aka, “the vampirefacelift” and vows to avoid plastic surgery.

Prior to receiving the procedure at the Miami Institute For Age Management, Kimye stated, “I love trying anything that makes you look and feel youthful.” So what’s behind the theory of a blood facial? The procedure is thought to rejuvenate the skin by using a patient’s own blood, which is drawn from the patient, processed and injected back into the patient’s face.

Kimye was coaxed into the procedure by her BFF, Jonathan Cheban, who suggested the treatment. Kim posted on Twitter, prior to the shows airing last night, “Look what @jonathancheban did to me!!! #KKTM.” And Jonathan stepped up as he accompanied Kim to the appointment and watched on in horror throughout. Watch the procedure here!

A blood facial is absolutely not for the faint of heart, as witnessed on the show where a needle draws blood from Kim’s arm prior to processing. Jonathan Cheban can be seen wincing as the doctor explained the procedure to Kim. As the procedure was administered, Kim can be seen wincing as the blood is injected into Kim's face using nine needles. Kim complained of pain throughout the procedure. “Oh my God. I will never get a facelift if it feels like that,” Kim said.

Kim has acknowledged past experience with Botox, but denies having any other sort of plastic surgery performed on her person. Botox is “the only thing that I’ve done,” she told ABC in 2010. “What’s funny about my nose, it’s my biggest insecurity. I always want to get my nose done. I went to the doctor, I had them take the pictures, he showed me what it would look like and it just didn’t … I wouldn’t look the same.” The big question here … would you do it?
