Clique by Roblé Fragrance Review

Launched in 2014, Clique by Roblé is an interesting concept from Celebrity Chef Roblé Ali who worked with renowned perfumer Frank Voelkl of Firmenich to develop this unique fragrance, which highlights ingredients of some of the chef's signature recipes.

Clique by Roble ($59.50 – 50ml) is a Floral Fruity Gourmand that opens with a deep sweetness of honey, while hints of chili pepper are evident it is just a hint and the marriage of sweet and “savory” is a perfect union. We honestly had no expectations of liking this fragrance. Quite frankly, we were well prepared to really dislike what we’d considered to be yet another celebrity perfume. Moving on to the mid notes, one can certainly recognize the florals but again it is a lovely hint of these floral heavy weights. Drydown is where one will really pickup the Gourmand stage of Clique. It is here, at drydown where a masterfully blended cinnamon and chocolate are evident.

Clique by Roblé Notes~
  • Top: Blood Orange, Lime, Tequila, Salt, Chili Pepper
  • Mid: Jasmine, Violet, Tuberose, Iris
  • Base: Bread, Cinnamon, Salt, Honey, Chocolate, Sugar

The ancillaries for Clique by Roblé are as interesting as the fragrance. Yes we have the standard shower gelee ($28.50) and body butter ($35), but quite fascinating is the companion nail lacquer ($15.95). Clique by Roblé Nail Lacquer is a lovely golden hue that is inline with the brand’s esthetic as well as an on-trend shade and would you believe that after the lacquer dries, it release the Clique by Roblé fragrance?

Of note (no pun intended), in January 2015 Celebrity Chef Roblé Ali partnered with Beauty Kind. Beauty Kind enables beauty shoppers to donate portion of proceeds to their choice of charity making this partnership the perfect alliance between beauty and a cause. The scent classification for Clique by Roble is Floral Fruity Gourmand. Perfumer: Frank Voelkl of Firmenich; Season: All; Sillage: 3; Longevity: 4; Bottle has a unique asymmetrical shape with “Beauty Cue Technology;” Bottling-5.
