MAC Cosmetics SS16 PFW Daily Face Chart Report II


M∙A∙C Cosmetics at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016! Get the looks for Issey Miyake, Elie Saab, Haider Ackermann, Veronique Leroy and Vivienne Westwood Gold Label.


Inspiration: “An opening orchid, seen through humid air and dappled jungle sunlight.” – Alex Box

Face: A youthful glowing skin was created by applying M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation as needed to perfect, followed by Peach Strobe Cream Shade Extension (available Spring/Summer 2016) over the cheekbones, temples, down the centre of the nose and chin to highlight Posey Cremeblend Blush applied to the cheeks for a flush of color

Eyes: M·A·C Pigments in shades of Neo-Orange, Red Electric, Rock-It Yellow, Green Space, Hi-Def Cyan, Pure White, Magenta Madness and True Chartreuse were mixed with M·A·C Pro Mixing Medium Water Base to create a corresponding liquid pigment Liquid pigment was selected for each model, then placed on the corner of the eye and blown with a straw to create an organic, free-glowing shape. The color was then diluted and washed into the crease with M·A·C Pro Mixing Medium Water Base, using a soft brush to diffuse To finish, Joy Toy Foiled Shadow (available Spring/Summer 2016) was applied over the tear duct and the centre of the eye to highlight

Face: Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation blended over the face to even and tone, using the 132 Duo Fibre Foundation Brush for a sheer, natural look Climax Pro Sculpting Crème (available Spring/Summer 2016) blended over the cheekbones to provide a hydrated look Crevasse Pro Sculpting Crème (available Spring/Summer 2016) applied through the hollows of the cheeks to contour and followed with Sunny Side Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (available Spring/Summer 2016) on top to add a satiny finish

Eyes: Big Brow Pencil (available Spring/Summer 2016) used to perfect the brows and diffused with the 204 Lash Brush Peach Strobe Cream Shade Extension (available Spring/Summer 2016) tapped over the eyelid with fingertips, followed with Enchanted Forest Foiled Shadow (available Spring/Summer 2016) to set and create a luminous effect Lashes were well curled and applied with two coats of Haute & Naughty Lash through the upper and lower lashes to intensify and define

Lips: Lip Conditioner (Tube) blended over the lips to hydrate and prepare Promise Me Velvetease Lip Pencil (available Spring/Summer 2016) applied over Lip Conditioner for a neutral, subtle tint to finish


Nails: “A clean, groomed nail perfect for open-toe shoes.” –Anatole Rainey; One coat of Delicate M·A·C Studio Nail Lacquer was applied for a slightly matte, clean, groomed nail

Face: M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation was chosen in the appropriate shade to match skin tone and mixed with M·A·C Studio White Face and Body and Silver Strobe Cream Shade Extension (available Spring/Summer 2016) to even, brighten and illuminate Silver Strobe Cream Extension (available Spring/Summer 2016) was also applied over the high planes of the face to highlight Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer applied as needed to perfect Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder swept over the high planes of the face to polish and set Groundwork Pro Longwear Paint Pot blended under the cheekbones to contour

Eyes: Groundwork Pro Longwear Paint Pot used through the socket and under the eye to sculpt and contour Root Cream Colour Base blended through the crease and under the lashes to add depth and dimension Pure White Chromagraphic Pencil applied through the waterline and set with Gesso Eye Shadow to brighten the eye Lashes were well curled The brows were first applied with Mixing Medium Eyeliner and brushed upwards into place for a spikey effect, then left to dry. Once set, M·A·C Pro Gloss Texture was applied to add shine to brows, eyelids and top of the cheeks

Lips: Lip Conditioner (Tube) applied to nourish and condition the lips Groundwork Pro Longwear Paint Pot blended over the lips to tone down any redness to finish

Face: The skin was well moisturized and given a dewy appearance by using Mineralize Charged Water Face and Body Lotion to hydrate and applying Peach Strobe Cream shade Extension (available Spring/Summer 2016) over the high planes of the face to highlight M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation blended over the face in a soft veil to even and tone Pro Eye Makeup Remover used to clean M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation from the cheeks The In Thing from M·A·C Trend Forecast Spring 16/EYE (available Spring/Summer 2016) blended over the cheeks to create a more innocent, young look

Eyes: Stormy Pink and Clearwater Pro Longwear Paint Pot mixed together for a dusty purple and applied over the eyelids with the 217 Blending Brush to create a girlish, “first time doing my makeup” look to eyes Haute & Naughty Lash applied to lashes for a base and layered with M·A·C Pro Chromacake in Pure White, then in Rich Purple, to create a dusty purple definition to the lashes Rich Purple Chromagraphic Pencil applied through the waterline to finish the eyes The brows were brushed through to simply groom

Lips: Lip Conditioner (Tube) used to moisturize and nourish the lips

Face: M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation blended over the face to even and tone Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer applied as needed to perfect Prep + Prime Highlighter strategically applied to provide an instant radiance to skin Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder swept over the T-zone to polish and set

Eyes: Multiple looks were designed for the collection with variations of colors randomly applied over the eyes, eyebrows and lips, using the following products to create specific shades: Blue: Marine Ultra and Hi-Def Cyan Paint Sticks, or M·A·C Pro Hi-Def Cyan Acrylic Paint Yellow: Primary Yellow Paint Stick Green: Landscape Green Paint Stick Red: Basic Red Paint Stick or Basic Red Pigment Orange: Neo-Orange Pigment

Lips: Lip Conditioner (Tube) applied to nourish and prepare the lips before applying one of the multiple lip looks


Nails: “Mirror the world, carnival colors… reflective fingers and toes as the mirror in jewel colors.” - Marian Newman; Gold or Silver Pigment was mixed with M·A·C Studio Overlacquer to create nail lacquers in gold and silver, which were painted over nails for a base. The nails were then adorned with “jewels” mixed into M·A·C Studio Overlacquer, allowing the reflection to show through
