Tips For Easy and Inexpensive Halloween Makeup

Halloween can be a really fun opportunity to ditch your “regular” makeup routine and go for a spook-tacular face. And while you can end up spending a lot of money to achieve certain Halloween looks, you don’t have to. Check out Team TME's tips for easy and inexpensive makeup looks for Halloween!

This is most likely this only time that we will advise readers to go for a lesser quality makeup and the reason being is that you are only going to use these products once, so why pay a fortune? With that said please be careful and take a moment to read the report from Campaign For Safe Cosmetics regarding the toxins that may be in certain cosmetics.

Tip One: Whatever you do, don’t use your expensive makeup brushes. First off you’re using low-quality makeup to begin with and if you’re planning on applying latex, it will destroy the brush. So opt to for disposable makeup sponges.

Tip Two: Heads up for those who haven’t used latex before -- latex can take a long time to set. Make sure that you leave yourself extra time for this application and to help it set faster, use your hairdryer on its lowest setting.

Tip Three: If you’re planning on applying sequins or warts to your face, use eyelash glue. It works just as well as the expensive “special” glue that you’ll find in the costume aisle and it’s easy to remove at the end of the night.

Tip Four: Dressing like a 1000-year-old zombie bride? Grab the flour. Flour is obviously less expensive than grey hairspray and when you go to remove your Halloween makeup, it comes out of your hair much easier.

Tip Five: If you purchase fake blood and find that the color isn’t dark enough, add coffee. Coffee increases the pigment and maintains the proper consistency.

Pro Tip From Us: The last and most important tip ... At the end of the night, no matter how much you’ve indulged in those yummy Halloween cocktails, no matter how tired you are … Remove All That Makeup!
