The Top 10 Models Who Have Graced The Cover Of Vogue

This September will mark Vogue magazine’s 120th anniversary. For a periodical that began as a simple weekly publication in September 1892, Vogue has become the fashionista bible. In celebration, Vogue has been waxing nostalgic and releasing fun trivia this month. Yesterday, Vogue posted a roundup of their 10 most prominently featured faces over the past 12 decades.

For the most part, this trip down memory lane reflects a time when models, not celebrities, got the cover honors, and cover stories were planned around fashion spreads, not movie releases. Cindy Crawford graced the cover no fewer than 18 times in her career and Claudia Schiffer is close behind her with 16 covers under her belt. The most repeated Vogue cover model of all time? The unmatched Lauren Hutton, with a whopping 26 covers. Check out who else dominated the newsstand in the list below.

Vogue’s Top 10 Cover Models:
  1. Lauren Hutton, 26
  2. Jean Shrimpton, 20
  3. Karen Graham, 20
  4. Cindy Crawford, 18
  5. Claudia Schiffer, 16
  6. Jean Patchett, 16
