Fashion designer L'Wren Scott has teamed up with Barneys to release her first perfume. Scott launched her self-titled fragrance exclusively at the NYC store on Dec. 11 and will collaborate with Barneys to create new designer perfumes each year.

L'Wren Scott is not just another designer who decided to slap her name on a bottle. In an interview with WWD, Scott, 45, shared her long-standing passion for perfume. Scott revealed that since the age of 17; she’s been creating scents for herself.

Although this writer is partial to classic florals like Allure by Chanel, Scott’s perfume debut has a lovely spicy scent. L'Wren Scott Parfum has top notes of absinthe, star anise, coriander, mandarin and marigold, while the heart features tuberose, jasmine, geranium, curry and clove buds, and finally, the drydown is made up of Brazilian patchouli, musk, leather, amber and moss.

Scott plans to embark upon a global perfume business, in addition to her successful fashion line, and the collaboration with Barneys seems to have her headed towards that. Barneys is making a very limited quantity of the L'Wren Scott Parfum and already has plans for the next edition to the Scott-Barneys collaboration, which will be a dual sex scent. L'Wren Scott Parfum is priced at $195 USD for a 3.4 oz bottle and is available at Barneys.
