100 Percent Pure Cosmetics Review

Happy Monday lovelies! So, did you catch Kimye K’s blood facial article? The Makeup Examiner realizes that a lot of people would be grossed out at the thought of such a procedure, but I’m on the fence about it. Moving on … today, I bring you a review of 100 Percent Pure Cosmetics.

100% has a rather interesting concept for their products. The entire line uses plant, fruit, and vegetable extracts for pigment! 100 Percent Pure Cosmetics are vegan and organic, free of parabens, sulfates and artificial fragrances or colors. Complete awesomeness, but all the goodness on the planet isn’t worth much if the products do not do what they are supposed to do. So lets get to the good, bad and beautiful!

The Makeup Examiner received 100 Percent Pure Tinted Moisturizer in Peach Bisque and Golden Peach, The Pretty Naked Trio: (1) Blush, (2) Eye Shadows, Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze, Fruit Pigmented Lip Gloss, Pot Rouge Blush and Pot Satin Shadow.

I image that I’m not alone with the thought that as soon as we turn the clocks forward, it’s Spring … and as soon as the weather warms up, I ease off full coverage foundation and go for tinted moisturizers and BB creams. (Check out The Makeup Examiner's BB Cream Breakdown) And honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from 100 Percent Pure Tinted Moisturizer (1.7 oz $32). I was pleasantly surprised with the great coverage and lightweight feel!

If you’re looking to try 100 Percent Pure Cosmetics, with out a major invest, The Pretty Naked Trio ($25) is the perfect place to begin. Conveniently package in an adorable mirrored compact that you can toss in your handbag, the trio contains Fruit Pigment Blush in Blushing and two eye shadows in Bare and Naked. The trio colors are very neutral and the blush is an amazing buildable hue.

Loyal readers know by now that The Makeup Examiner is a lip gloss and lip glaze bunkie. So, I’m hyper critical of these items and am happy to report that Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze (2.5g $15) and Lip Gloss (0.24 oz $13) are major wins! Both the gloss and glaze are moisturizing and deliver the perfect amount of color. Plus, Fruit Pigmented Lip Gloss has a yummy fruity scent.

As much of a bunkie I am for gloss is as much as I dislike pot rouge or pot shadow. This is simply my personal preference and I really had to put that aside to review Pot Rouge Blush (3.5g $15) and Pot Satin Shadow (3.4g $15). Both products have a lovely smooth consistency and nice pigmentation. Despite this, The Makeup Examiner won’t be converting to this product delivery anytime soon.

Aside from an overall good quality cosmetic, all 100 Percent Pure Cosmetics are made in the USA and they take the guesswork out of the expiration, as each product has an open jar symbol with a number that tells you exactly when it’s time to through it away and buy new. 100 Percent Pure Cosmetics are available at 100 Percent Pure.
