2nd Annual Online Nail Extravaganza Contest launches

Ride Aid announced on May 14 the launch of their 2nd Annual Online Nail Extravaganza contest. The digital campaign aims to celebrate one of the hottest beauty trends … nail art! In its second year, Rite Aid’s “Nail Extravaganza” is based around the “Search for the Rite Aid Nail Enthusiast,” which is a two-round contest that gives beauty amateurs and pros alike, a chance to win.

This year's nail extravaganza features as an interactive Color Studio with exclusive product coupons, a library of trend videos and searchable database of submission photos that will be updated in real time. And Rite Aid is going all out for this contest by utilizing multiple social medias such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. The contest's first round is running today through May 24.

On May 24, the top 20 vote getters will advance onto round two and will be mailed a standard palette of nail products from contest sponsors including Essie, L'Oreal, Maybelline Color Show, Sally Hansen, Sinful Colors, Wet n Wild, CoverGirl, Jesse's Girl, JulieG, Kiss, NutraNail Gel Perfect, Pretty Woman, Blue Cross Beauty Products, SensatioNail and Pink Armor Nail Gel.

Then beginning on June 10, the 20 new designs will be judged for originality, complexity and visual appeal by three expert judges; Revlon Senior Vice President Annette Falso, Kiss Nail Dress Brand Ambassador and Nail Files reality show star Katie Cazorla, and popular beauty blogger Julie G, whose line of polish with Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics is available exclusively at Rite Aid. On June 20, the grand prize winner will be chosen by scoring the expert judges' votes.
