Chrissy Teigen at BMAs and Eva Longoria at Cannes: Get The Look

In the midst of everything going on in Cannes, L’Oreal Paris’ own celebrity makeup artist, Sir John was in Las Vegas this past weekend, working with Billboard Music Awards host Chrissy Teigen. In addition, the stunning Eva Longoria graced the Red Carpet in Cannes and TME has the how-tos, straight from the source, for re-creating these lovely ladies looks!

Chrissy Teigen: Billboard Music Awards, Las Vegas

"Our overall vibe was a very 70’s, Jerry Hall look. The number that led was that Balmain jumpsuit, so that’s where the inspiration was drawn. There was one eye and face look, and three different lip color changes," - Sir John, Celebrity Makeup Artist L’Oreal Paris.

Eyes: The look was all eyes -- very warm, bronze with a bit of glitter. I loved this look it for its versatility and the fact that it translates for all eye colors and complexions. We used Silkissime Eyeliner in Gold as a base all over the eye.  As a tip, wash away lines with your finger for a gradation of color; fingers warm up the color and blends the formula well.  Use sponge applicator and tap on the bronze shade from La Palette Nude -- use the fluffy end to blend well. Last, turn to a bronze glitter shadow, like Infallible 24H Eye Shadow in Eternal Sunshine, and tap onto the balls of the eye – saturate and blend for light catching effect. Line waterlines with a light-colored liner, like either the Silkissime Eyeliner in Highlighter or Gold – to make eyes pop. Coat lashes using Voluminous Miss Ranga Rock Mascara.

Skin: Skin was kept predominately matte, and not as super glowy as usual; a combination of Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Pro-Matte Powder translated well for TV cameras. We used a darker shade of the powder to define and sculpt the face, and a bit of highlighter to catch the light in all the right places.

Cheeks: True Match Blush in Sweet Ginger is a pretty honey and peach shade that works well with Chrissy’s complexion. The caramel complexion look was really a resurgence of a late 70’s, early 80’s beauty staple.

Lips: We used L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Last Lipcolour in Neverending Nutmeg on the lips from the red carpet until about mid-show, when Chrissy changed into the black and white V-neck mini. We paired that with a darker hue (Infallible Pro Last Lipcolor in Raisin Revival). Toward the end of the show and after another wardrobe switch, we layered shade Always Almond directly over the raisin for a maple syrup, molasses-type 90’s vibe. I love layering these colors; they give almost a prismatic, multi-dimensional effect.
