Jaimie Alexander's Hair at Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Get the Look

While attending the ninth annual Veuve Clicquot PoloClassic on Saturday, June 4, in Jersey City, Jaimie Alexander proved that despite its cropped length, a pixie hairstyle could be versatile. Jaimie’s “Braided Mohawk” hairstyle was created by Kérastase Consulting Hairstyle, Matt Fugate and we have the “how-to” for this hot look!

INSPIRATION: “I wanted to give Jaimie a very 'Warrior Hellen of Troy' style to complement her beautiful, flowy dress. We decided to add two micro braids to help secure the hair down during the windy day and give this battle-like look.” -Matt Fugate

Step One: First, hair prep hair with Nutritive Bain and Fondant Magistral.

Step Two: Then, use L'incroyable Blowdry on damp hair and blow-dry product in.

Step Three: For the first part of the style, create two very fine, hairline braids and secure with pins.

Step Four:  Once the braids are done, spray VIP Volume in Powder throughout hair to give body and lift.

Step Five: Next, wrap the curling iron around hair in different sections to create a very messy look.

Step Six: Grab and roll hair, pinning in both the middle and again towards the nape of neck for a faux Mohawk look.

Step Seven: Spray Fix Fabulous on the braids and dry with a sock diffuser to help set the style. Then, finish the look with Laque Noire all over.
