Ciara, Gigi Hadid and Ariana Grande at the AMA’s GTL

Team TME grabbed a few of our favorite looks from last night’s AMA’s and we’re sharing them with you! From stylish ponytails to Gigi’s sultry waves, with our holiday season kicking off in just a few days, these looks are simple enough to replicate for the perfect celebratory look!

Who: Ciara

Hair By: Celebrity Hairstylist, Cesar Ramirez

Inspiration:For Ciara's look tonight, I wanted to do something that would complement her beautiful dress. My vision was a long messy ponytail with a 70's-inspired fringe.”

Tips/Technique: To start, I applied Mizani's Thermasmooth System and blew out Ciara's hair smooth with my ghd Air Hairdryer. I then center parted her fringe area and sectioned out hair around her face.  For the ponytail, I sectioned her hair into two parts—front and back. Using the ghd Paddle Brush, I brushed back and secured the back section into a ponytail to create a base right at the center back of her head.  I then attached a Faux Cesar-Do Pony tail, which I custom colored to blend with her beautiful blonde color. To hide and blend the faux ponytail, I incorporated the remainder of her hair into the ponytail creating one big sexy messy pony. I cut her fringe to really frame her face and give her a nice, sexy 70’s- inspired bangs. For an incredibly shiny finish and to nix flyaways, I used the ghd Platinum Styler on the ponytail and on the fringe. Finally, I sprayed Mizani HRM Anti-Humidity Hairspray to set the look.

Who: Gigi Hadid

Hair By: Celebrity Stylist, Bryce Scarlett

Who: Ariana Grande

Hair By: Celebrity Hairstylist, Chris Appleton

Inspiration: Ariana’s signature super-sleek, waist-length ponytail.

Tips/Technique: Using the Color Wow Pop & Lock High Gloss Shellac & Color Wow One Minute Transformation Styling Cream, Appleton prepped Grande’s strands, smoothed the texture and gave her ponytail a photo-ready, high-gloss finish. To give her an edgy, modern twist, Appleton added subtle braids at the crown and wrapped strands around the base of the ponytail.
