Fresh Joins (RED) For World Aids Day

Today, December 1, is World AIDS Day and in an ongoing effort to raise funds and awareness Fresh has announced a partnership with (RED), the organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise money and awareness to fight AIDS in Africa. The launch of SUGA(RED) Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 is a first-of-its-kind collaboration for two reasons -- it is (RED)’s first-ever partnership with a beauty brand and it is Fresh’s first product that gives back.

This collaboration comes at a pivotal time in Fresh’s history, as the brand is about to turn 25. With this important milestone, Fresh is celebrating the past and taking an important step forward. The limited-edition SUGA(RED) Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 ($22.50) is Fresh’s beloved colorless lip treatment wrapped in red to support the fight against AIDS. SUGA(RED) moisturizes, protects, and smoothes the lips with an exclusive blend of moisture-preserving sugar, antioxidant-rich oils, vitamins C and E, and essential SPF protection. But the most beautiful benefit is that for every purchase of SUGA(RED), 25% of the retail price will go to the US Fund for the Global Fund, which can provide more than 2 weeks of life-saving HIV/AIDS medication in sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, because this year is the 10th anniversary for (RED), every dollar (RED) raises this year will be matched by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation -- up to $50 million. Therefore, 50% of each Suga(RED) purchased will be donated*

(RED) was founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage businesses and people in the fight against AIDS. (RED) partners with the world’s most iconic brands that contribute up to50% of profits from (RED)-branded goods and services to the Global Fund.
