75th Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Report

The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held on January 7 at The Beverly Hilton, brought out the stars. Each celebrating and each sharing a united message! With the HFPA on hand their message was heard in Hollywood style. And style is what we have to share with our readers. Below are looks for some of the most stunning women of Hollywood. So flip through our slideshow to Get The Look for Caitriona Balfe, Dove Cameron, Jessica Biel, Margot Robbie, Saoirse Ronan, and Susan Kelechi.

The other star of the evening was the ghd Gold 18k Styler! The new gold standard is here, and has officially made its dazzling 18K red carpet debut at the 75th Annual Golden Globes. To celebrate ghd’s best-selling gold styler having a sleek new makeover and technical upgrade, celebrity stylists Adir Abergel and Bryce Scarlett both used a very special version to create Margot Robbie, Saoirse Ronan and Jessica Biel’s award-winning looks.

With only six available in the country, this ultra-luxe version can’t be bought. Good news: the consumer-friendly version is coming... details below!

Updated features include:
  • Dual-zone technology for premium performance
  • Proven to deliver sleeker, smoother and healthier hair
  • An improved heat-up time of only 25 seconds
  • A modernized design for snag-free styling

Celebrity Stylist Bryce Scarlett used the ghd Gold 18k Styler to give Margot soft, elongated waves with a contemporary edge.

“What I love most about ghd’s new Gold 18k Styler is the sleek design and curved edges allow you to bend into the hair so smooth and seamlessly that you can easily create any shape you want without any creasing or snagging,” says Bryce.

Angling the styler vertically, he wrapped one-inch pieces around it all going in the same direction to create a uniform look, going over the ends for a modern finish. “What makes Margot’s hair look so modern tonight is the sharpened ends and the new ghd Gold 18k Styler was key for getting that extra-sharp, almost pointed, finish that made all the difference here,” Bryce says.

Celebrity Stylist Adir Abergel used the ghd Gold 18k Styler to give a silky-smooth finish to Jessica Biel’s low pony for a look that felt classic, with a modern twist. “I used the new ghd Gold 18k Styler to smooth out the cuticle and lock in the shiny texture,” says Adir. “It glides through the hair like no other iron I have ever tried before and distributes the perfect amount of heat to hair to set a style."

For Saoirse Ronan, on the other hand, it was all about mixing masculine structure and feminine texture, so Adir used the ghd 18k Gold Styler to add shape to the hair that gave the updo more volume and texture throughout. “This tool provides incredible versatility with your styles and textures whether you want to go straight or wavy—and no matter what look you choose, the results will be super shiny,” says Adir.

The ghd Gold Styler is launching in February and will be available at for $199.

Jessie James Decker at the Country Music Awards Get the Look

RED CARPET REPORT 51st Country Music Awards

WHO: Jessie James Decker

HAIR BY: Marissa Marino

INSPIRATION: “Jessie’s classic red gown shows off her growing baby bump, so we wanted to sweep her long, voluminous hair to the back in a gorgeous wavy ponytail to keep her ensemble sleek and elegant.”

To start, I prepped with a mousse and blow-dried hair with the new ghdair nocturne hairdryer ($199). I then used the ghdCURVE classic wave wand ($199), wrapping 1-inch sections starting at the bottom of her hair around the wand. I love this wand because of the oval shape that gives you that perfectly imperfect wave. After the hair cooled down, I combed them out a bit to make them more natural and effortless looking.

To prepare for the ponytail, I separated the top and sides of the hair and clipped those pieces away, putting the remaining hair into a ponytail. Then, I backcombed the top and sides, pinning these pieces into the ponytail to create a more undone, romantic look. For the finishing touch, I set the look with hairspray and she was good to go!

PRODUCTS: ghdair nocturne hairdryer ($199), ghdCURVE classic wave wand ($199)

All ghd products are available online at ghd hair and Sephora, as well as in-store at Sephora!

Priyanka Chopra At The 2017 CFDA Awards GTL With Chantecaille

The 2017 CFDA Awards were held last night June 5 in NYC and in attendance among the many celebrities was the stunning Priyanka Chopra. Bringing a little glamour to Priyanka’s look was world-renowned celebrity makeup artist Yumi Mori. Inspired by the Flappers of the 1920’s and the fringe and sparkle of Priyanka’s Michael Kors dress, Yumi created this glamorous gilded look. The Makeup Examiner has all the info on how you can recreate this enchanting look at home!

1. Yumi applied Chantecaille Gold Energizing Eye Recovery Masks ($195) to Priyanka’s eyes for an instant lifting and depuffing effect.

2. She then spritzed Pure Rosewater ($68) all over Priyanka’s face for a light touch of moisture.

3. Yumi dabbed a little bit of Lip Potion ($44) onto her lips. This softened her lips while I did the rest of her makeup before applying her lip color. It created a perfect base.

1. Yumi mixed Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation ($78) in two shades -- Shea and Sand. She applied the mix all over Priyanka’s face with a foundation brush, and then tapped it into her skin with a makeup sponge for a natural looking texture.

2. Yumi used two different Le Camouflage Stylo Concealers ($52) on Priyanka. First, she used shade 8 for her under eyes, nose, and around her lips to reduce any redness. Secondly she used a lighter shade, 4C, to highlight her brow bones, cheeks, T-zone, and the bridge of her nose.

3. Finally, she lightly dusted High Definition Perfecting Powder in Bronze ($75) to her T-zone to set her foundation in place.

1. Yumi applied the eyeshadow “Lantern” from the Le Chrome Luxe Eye Duo ($58) in
“Gardens of Marrakech” all over her lid up to the crease of her brow bone.

2. At the last minute, Yumi wanted to add a saturated pop of gold to Priyanka’s lids, so she dabbed Lumière ($41) in Brilliance on top of her eyeshadow with her fingertip.

3. She finished the eyes by curling her lashes and added four coats of Chantecaille Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara ($72) for a bold defined look.

1. For an opaque bright red lip, Yumi mixed Chantecaille Lip Chic ($38) in Dahlia with Matte Chic ($39) in Carmen.

Pro Tips From Yumi: “For a sheer wash of color on her cheeks, I dabbed Lip Chic ($38) in Gaia, a dark burgundy with hints of gold flecks, onto the apples of her cheek for color and dimension. I blended well into her skin with my fingertips. Then I brushed the Poudre Lumière ($45) all over Priyanka’s face and collarbones for added luminosity.”

All Chantecaille products are available at online at Chantecaille and select retail locations.

22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards Natalie Portman and Mandy Moore GTL

Team TME scored the how-tos for two of the most beautiful women to grace the Red Carpet at last night’s 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, which was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.  Congrats to Natalie Portman on her Best Actress win for “Jackie.”

INSPIRATION: “For Natalie’s look tonight, she chose this gorgeous chiffon McQueen dress that had a cool 70’s vibe, so we thought the hair should echo that a bit and went for bohemian curls.” -Bryce Scarlett

To start, I blew out her wet hair using the ghd Air Hairdryer and the Natural Bristle Radial Brush (size 2) and created a deep side part. With the ghd Tailcomb, I teased her hair as I went to ensure her hair would set with fullness. Then, I curled her hair with the ghd CURVE Classic Curl Iron in one-inch sections to create S-waves. I made sure to curl the hair each section in the same direction so that the final look would be uniform. After finishing each curl, I pinned it to her head, and then, once all her curls were pinned and had cooled, I used the Air Hairdryer again, this time with the Air Diffuser attached, to ensure the curls would have serious staying power. After that, I took out all the pins, sprayed the ghd Oval Dressing Brush and brushed out her curls with a bit of dry shampoo to finish the look.

ghd PRODUCTS: ghd Air Hairdryer ($199), ghd Natural Bristle Radial Brush 2 (40), ghd Tailcomb ($22), ghd CURVE Classic Curl Iron ($199), ghd Air Diffuser ($30), Oval Dressing Brush ($40)

To give Mandy her flawless look, Celebrity Makeup Artist Jenn Streicher used TEMPTU, including the never-before-seen Perfect Canvas Airbrush 24-Hour Airbrush Foundation, out in March 2017! This next iteration of airbrush makeup reinvents the gold standard with a long-wear, powerfully hydrating and age-defying formula that delivers TEMPTU’s most flawless, natural-looking finish ever.

INSPIRATION: "Tonight, Mandy chose to wear a beautiful and very sexy column dress by Solace London. My sister Ashley, who did her hair, really wanted to play up the sexiness of the dress and wear her hair down. We went for "70's sexy" - the hair is loose and tousled while her makeup has a sultriness to it. Since the dress is very low-cut, it was really important for me to make sure ALL of her skin looked flawless and TEMPTU is perfect for that!" -Jenn Streicher

To start, using the TEMPTU Air, I airbrushed her face with the new Perfect Canvas 24-Hour Airbrush Foundation in Nude to give Mandy a flawless complexion. I continued airbrushing her neck and décolletage since she had some tan lines we wanted to hide. Since the foundation is lightweight and buildable, we could add a bit more to the areas that needed it most, without it looking caked on. Next, I used TEMPTU's Blushing Coral Airbrush Blush onto the apples of her cheek and then, to accentuate her features, I added the Airbrush Highlighter in Bronze along her cheekbones to give a warm glow. For her eyes, I added some bronze shadow and lots of mascara to make the look a bit sultrier. Then, for the finishing touch, I added TEMPTU's True Color Lipstick in Tawny Spice for a natural lip and she was good to go.

ghd products are available online at ghd and Sephora, as well as Sephora stores. TEMPTU products are available online at TEMPTU and select retail locations.

Rihanna at the 2016 VMA's Get The Looks

Sunday, August 28 at the 2016 MTV VMA’s in New York City, Rihanna was the queen of the evening, and to say she looked amazing is an understatement! Her beloved hairstylist Yusef created four effortless, yet edgy looks – using ghd and MOP hair care – throughout the night that all withstood her killer performances.

“I wanted to show who Rihanna is and has been throughout her career. Her individuality is what made her into the icon she is today, so we wanted to highlight that with the hair. She is authentic and each look is some variation of a signature look that she’s had during her career.” -Yusef

To achieve the first look, I first blew the hair dry with the ghd Air Hairdryer ($199). I then straightened the hair with the ghd Platinum Styler ($249) and used MOP Mixed Greens Leave-In Conditioner ($22)  to add smoothness so when I pulled it into that high ponytail it would be sleek and sexy. Once it was up, I sprayed the hair with MOP C-System Firm Finish Hair Spray ($24) and went over it the ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand ($199) to add a bit of wave and extra volume to it, and also to seal the hair and reduce flyaways. To finish, we sprayed MOP C-System Firm Finish Hair Spray ($24) again to give the hair extra hold and luster.”

“For the last look, I re-wet her hair and blew it dry again using the ghd Air Hairdryer ($199), brushing it back from her face with the ghd Natural Bristle Radial Brush ($56). Once it was dry, I applied MOP Mixed Greens Leave-In Conditioner ($22) to smooth the edges and add softness. Then I used the ghd Platinum Styler ($249) to lock in shine and make it even straighter and smoother. After that, I tamed flyaways and tucked the hair behind the ears with MOP Orange Peel Molding Cream ($22). To finish the look and hold it in place, I used bobby pins before adding MOP C-System Firm Finish Hair Spray ($24) to make the finished look a bit more glossy.”

2016 People’s Choice Awards Claire Danes and Lea Michele Get The Look

The 2016 Awards Season kicked off last night, Jan. 6 with the People’s Choice Awards and TME has the how-tos for two stunning stars. Straight from Celebrity Makeup Artist, Matin, we have PCA Winner Claire Danes’ look, as well as Lea Michele’s look created by Celebrity Stylist John D.

Claire Danes 2016 People’s Choice Awards Get The Look:

Skin Prep - To prep, I used Elizabeth Arden SUPERSTART Skin Renewal Booster and Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum on face and neck to keep skin dewy.

Complexion - To create a smooth canvas, I applied Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer followed by Flawless Finish Sponge–On Cream Makeup in Vanilla to the her entire face, working outwards. Next, I dabbed a bit of Ceramide Cream Blush in Pink to the apples of your cheeks for a slight flush.

Eyes - For a subtle eye, I brushed Beautiful Color Eyeshadow Duo in Café Au Lait across the lid to the inner eye. I used Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Truffle along the lash line, instead of traditional eyeliner, to add warmth and definition. Next, I applied Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eyeliner in Black Velvet as dots between individual top lashes for a fuller lash look, and finish with Grand Entrance Mascara.

Lips - To complete Claire’s look, I prepped her lips with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm and applied Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Power Red, for a bold and beautiful pop of color.

Lea Michele 2016 People’s Choice Awards Get The Look:

This Hollywood sweetheart stunned on the red carpet last night before presenting at People’s Choice Awards. Celebrity Stylist John D. opted for a fun, textured knot to avoid upstaging her intricately beaded black Elie Saab cocktail dress.

“We wanted to stay away from overdoing this look, while keeping in mind the major storm that is currently covering Los Angeles, so we kept the overall vibe fresh and cool.” – John D.

Step 1: Prep clean, towel-dried hair by running a dollop TRESemmé Climate Control Mousse from roots to ends to add light hold and keep the elements out.

Step 2. Blow dry hair using a large round brush to help smooth lengths and give lift at the root.

Step 3. Gather hair at the back of the head and secure ponytail with an elastic, making sure that roots aren’t pulled back too tight. Then, split the ponytail into two sections and tie sections into loose knots. Wrap knots around ponytail to create an intricate bun and fasten all around with bobby pins.

Step 4. Finish the look by spraying TRESemmé Climate Control Hair Spray all over for a frizz-free, strong hold.
