Bella Hadid and Amal Clooney at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Bella Hadid secured supermodel status on the red carpet at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Gala last night in the South of France. Bella joined a glittering array of stars on the red carpet, wearing a cut-out nude and embellished Roberto Cavalli by Peter Dundas gown. She complimented the dress with a natural, clean and bright makeup look by makeup artist Patrick Ta for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. Ta created a look that focused on a flawless, contoured complexion, soft smoky eyes and an effortlessly cool nude lip.

Ta shares the steps to create Bella’s red carpet look:
  1. Patrick prepped Bella’s skin with a generous layer of Charlotte Tilbury’s signature Magic Cream to give the complexion a luminous glow and to create a smooth, flawless base.
  2. Next, Ta lightly applied Light Wonder Foundation in Shade 3 to ensure Bella’s complexion looked clean and bright (a look favoured by the glamourous model) and concealed any imperfections with The Retoucher in Shade 2.
  3. Ta continued by lightly contouring Bella’s killer cheekbones using Charlotte’s cult favorite, Filmstar Bronze and Glow. Patrick noted ‘This product photographs amazingly and Bella loves a softly contoured look’.
  4. Ta finished the glowing complexion with Cheek to Chic Blusher in First Love on the apples of Bella’s cheeks for a ‘healthy flush’ and followed with a light dusting of Airbrush Flawless Finish in Shade 1 to ensure long wear.
  5. Bella wanted her eyes to look ‘clean and bright’. To achieve this look Ta used The Luxury Palette in The Sophisticate layered with The Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita. Next, using the rich chocolate brown shade from The Luxury Palette in Dolce Vita, Ta used an angled brush to draw a thin wing starting half way on the eyelid and smudged outwards for a smoky eye effect.
  6. To achieve red-carpet glamour, Ta curled Bella’s lashes using Life Changing Lashes and applied two coats of Charlotte’s new Legendary Lashes mascara for an instant false lash effect.
  7. To complete the look, Ta applied the fresh; nude toned K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink to compliment the naturally flushed cheeks and Bella’s signature effortless look.

Amal Clooney made her debut on the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival red carpet this evening for the "Money Monster" Premiere. Amal was the embodiment of old Hollywood glamour in a pastel yellow asymmetrical Versace gown, Cartier jewelry and a classic red carpet beauty look by close friend and iconic makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. Charlotte worked her legendary makeup magic giving Amal a soft smoky eye, perfect red pout and a flawless complexion.

Charlotte shares the steps to create Amal’s red carpet look:
  1. First, Charlotte moisturized the skin with her signature Magic Cream to prep and hydrate, then primed with her secret weapon Wonderglow.
  2. Next, Magic Foundation in Shades 7 and 8 were applied to ensure Amal’s complexion was flawless, followed by a light concealing of any imperfections with The Retoucher in Shade 3. Charlotte then used her sell-out product Mini Miracle Eye Wand in Shade 2 on the eye socket to brighten and lift.
  3. Charlotte continued by warming up Amal’s complexion using her Bronzer Brush with the sculpt shade in Filmstar Bronze and Glow and dusting it across her temples and over the cheekbones. Next, Charlotte applied Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy on top of Amal’s cheekbones for a romantic flush.
  4. Charlotte continued with facial framework by softly perfecting Amal’s already perfect eyebrows with Brow Lift in Cara D.
  5. To create Amal’s mesmerizing eyes, Charlotte applied the pop shade from The Luxury Palette in The Vintage Vamp onto the lids for a soft shimmer. Next, Charlotte took her Rock n Kohl Eyeliner in Barbarella Brown and followed the upper lash line along and out into a soft flick for subtle definition. Using her Smudger Brush Charlotte used the enhance shade from The Luxury Palette in The Golden Goddess to softly define the waterline of the eyes.
  6. To achieve red-carpet glamour, Charlotte curled Amal’s lashes using Life Changing Lashes and applied two coats of her new Legendary Lashes mascara for an instant false lash effect.
  7. To complete the look, Charlotte applied the ultimate Hollywood red lipstick K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Love Bite to give instant glamour.

Rachel Weisz Modern Hollywood Glam Cannes 2015

Rachel Weisz looked perfectly polished in a custom Louis Vuitton gown at the Cannes Film Festival on the evening of Friday, May 15 at the premiere of “The Lobster”. Nexxus New York Salon Care Global Creative Director Kevin Mancuso shares the “how-to” for re-creating Rachel’s glam look.

“Ahead of the festival, I created a cut with shape and unrestricted movement for Rachel that maximizes the movement in her hair - think ‘liquid geometry’. Rachel's natural hair texture is soft, with a gorgeous loose wave; the length just grazes the shoulder and works beautifully with the shaped layering throughout the cut.  To complete the cut, I added in several disconnected layers to create a customized look specifically for Rachel,” - Kevin Mancuso

Beauty Inspiration: For last evening’s premiere, the look is a modern take on Hollywood glamour to complement Rachel’s beautiful white and silver gown.

Kevin’s “Get The Look” For Rachel Weisz at Cannes:

Step 1: Spray Nexxus New York Salon Care Diametress Lavish Body Gel Spray on damp hair to add soft, touchable volume.

Step 3: Blow dry each section on high-heat using a medium round brush to smooth the hair, then allow to cool before releasing.  Use a nozzle on the blow dryer to direct the heat for more controlled drying of the strands.

Step 3: Once complete, apply Nexxus New York Salon Care Humectress Encapsulate Serum to help with manageability while styling.

Step 4: Use a medium curling iron to create modern, Hollywood waves by wrapping the hair around the barrel from mid-length to ends to avoid building too much volume at the root. The curls were also loose and unformed to create a soft, glamorous feel.
Allow the hair to cool and brush through the style with a Mason Pearson soft bristle brush to create movement.

Step 5: Finish with Nexxus New York Salon Care Comb Thru Finishing Mist to add flexible hold.
