Show: Valentino Fall/Winter 2015 - To continue the story of the feminine, romantic Valentino
woman, Redken Global Creative Director Guido created a soft style adorned with
the daintiest of braids for the Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2015 runway show.
“The Valentino woman always
exudes this classic, feminine, romantic beauty, which is what the hair is all
about this season. It’s down with natural, loose waves so it’s very easy
feeling. I took two small pieces of hair from underneath the head on each side
of the face and pulled them back into two little braids using Redken’s Braid
Aid 03 to add grip and texture to hold the braids in place because they’re
tiny, teeny braids. Then, I just pulled out one strand over the face to add something
a little more interesting to the eye, but overall it’s a very classic look with
the hair down and behind the ears.” -Guido

Redken Global Creative Director
Guido created an understated, elegant updo to enhance the richness and luxury
on the runway at Hermès’ Fall/Winter 2015 runway show in Paris.
“The Hermès woman is always very luxurious and rich. She has
this timeless, classic elegance that’s sort of reinvented or modernized each
season. For this show, I created an easy, but very chic and sophisticated
French twist that a real woman could wear.” -Guido

Redken Global Creative Director Guido sculpted a sleek
hairstyle to accompany the structured silhouettes seen on the runway at Sacai’s
Fall/Winter 2015 show.

ponytails and updos that have very defined shapes or silhouettes.” -Guido

To play up the stony gray palette seen on the runway at
Akris’s Fall/Winter 2015 show, Redken Global Creative Director Guido custom-cut
wigs into a choppy bowl shape and colored each a beautiful shade of gray using
Redken’s Shades EQ.
“The look at Akris this season is very Zen and cool, but
still very luxurious and a little bit edgy. I custom cut these choppy, kind of
punk-y wigs for each girl and then dyed them a few different shades of gray, so
you have this very cool palette of grays on the runway. It’s a bit
surfer-inspired, but still very modern with the different grays and textures.”
-Guido

“The look at Celine this season is very simple and
natural. I’m really letting each girl’s individual personality shine through by
just enhancing the natural textures and movement in the hair. I cut shorter
bangs on a few of the girls, which feels a bit more punk-y and eccentric with a
slight ‘50’s feeling. I washed the hair with Redken’s Frizz Dismiss
Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner, let it dry naturally, and then used the
Frizz Dismiss FPF 10 Fly-Away Fix finishing sheets to get rid of those little
fly-aways. The final look is not over-product-y, which makes it feel super rich
and luxurious.” - Guido

To modernize a classic look, Redken Global Creative Director
Guido sculpted a chic, shiny chignon for Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2015 runway
show in Paris.
“At Balenciaga, I created this very chic, sculpted chignon
on the top of the crown that really accentuates the long neck and gives you a
beautiful, elegant silhouette. It’s kind of futuristic feeling in the way it’s
molded to the head, but it’s still very polished and stylized, which makes the
style look very new to the eye again. Though the shape is based on something
classic, the shiny, lacquer-like finish gives it a new, modern feeling.” Guido

Show: Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2015
To complement Christian Dior’s Fall/Winter 2015 Collection,
Redken Global Creative Director Guido created a sophisticated, sci-fi-inspired
side ponytail for the runway show in Paris.
“I created this very long, asymmetrical side ponytail at
Christian Dior this season, but it’s not your standard, fun, side pony. There’s
something sinister and almost strange about it. It’s sophisticated, but very
sci-fi and has somewhat of a child-like quality.” -Guido

Show: Loewe Fall/Winter 2015
“The look at Loewe this season is inspired by David Bowie –
it’s very masculine and a little 1920s, but also has a science fiction and
futuristic feeling. I used Redken’s new Short Sculpt 19 to create the very
defined head shape, and then combed the hair back into a low ponytail. Then, I
finished the look with Redken’s Forceful 23 hairspray to get that very shiny,
hard feeling to the finished look.” -Guido
