Beauty Brands That Give On Giving Tuesday

Have you recovered from Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Well, get ready for Giving Tuesday! Today, we're reminded of the true spirit of this season and we're given a super easy way to participate. What began as a "give and get" avenue for businesses and consumers to donate to great causes during the holidays, has turned into a social media movement. And fortunately, this year many of our favorite beauty brands are donating up to 100% of their profits. Does it get any better?!?

Charlotte Tilbury - Make any purchase online and Charlotte Tilbury will donate 15% of its profits to Women For Women, an organization that provides resources and support for women living in poverty. Pictured: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow in Light to Medium ($68).

Free People - The retailer will be donating 25% of all profits from online and in-store sales to Girls Inc., a non-profit that provides mentoring and programming for young girls. With a selection of dozens of beauty brands, there's a lot to choose from. Pictured: Kosas Color & Light Pressed ($34).

Purlisse - This skin-care set of eight products is an amazing deal on its own. But on Giving Tuesday, 100%  of the profits from the kit will be donated to Look Good Feel Better, an organization helping women in cancer treatment feel empowered. Purlisse Skin Survival Kit ($76).

Lush - This cult-favorite hand and body lotion donates 100% of its sales to supporting human rights, animal protection, and environment conservation efforts. Lush works with dozens of charities — from BreakOUT! to Keepers Of The Water Council. Lush Charity Pot ($7.95) .

Morrocanoil - It might be cold and dry out, but this hair mask will make sure your hair never shows any suffering. On Tuesday, 10% of all sales site-wide will go to Inspired By Women, a short-film series meant to empower women. Morrocanoil Intense Hydrating Mask ($64).

Today is a really good day to give back and finish up all of that holiday shopping! To learn more about Giving Tuesday and how you can participate, visit

Summer 2017 Beauty and Grooming Essentials Part One

The unofficial start of Summer 2017 will occur in just a few days with the kickoff of Memorial Day weekend on May 29! To celebrate the start of summer, many of us will flock to the beach or chill out lakeside and this usually sets the tone for our summertime experience. The weather has been predictably unpredictably with miserable humidity one week and then almost fall like chill the next. This time of year, you just never know what the weather is going to be like, so best to be prepared for anything. Ahead of a myriad of beauty disasters, and general discomfort, Team TME set out to gather up the beauty and grooming must haves for the upcoming season.

Skin Care: For a day spent outdoors, don’t you dare forget your sunscreen and lip balm! Our current favorites; jane iredale Powder-Me SPF 30 Dry Sunscreen ($47 – available in Translucent, Golden and Tanned) this chemical-free dry sunscreen for the face, body, and scalp nourishes, protects and soothes the skin; Dermaflage ScarScreen SPF 30 ($25) is ideal for use following cosmetic procedures; PCA Skin Weightless Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 45 ($42) is quick-absorbing and lightweight. For Lips, we are loving Sun Bum SPF 30 Lip Balm ($3.99 – available in six flavors) that offers added protection of Aloe and Vitamin E keeping your pout pretty and jane iredale Lip Drink SPF 15 ($15 – available in four shades) that leaves lips feeling moisturized, protected, and refreshingly scented with a hint of color.

Whether or not you opt to wear makeup you need a good skin care regimen. Our current favorites; Golden Door Soothing Cleansing Foam and Golden Door Soothing Toner ($64 each); boscia Tsubaki Glotion ($38) or Senté Daily Repair Complex with SPF 30 ($130) moisturizers for daytime and Junetics Pure Energy Night Cream ($109). All of the aforementioned brands are TME Must-Haves for Summer 2017, however Olay has just launched a few of the brand’s cult favorites with SPF 30 -- Olay Complete ($12.99), Olay Total Effects ($21.99), and Olay PROx Age Repair Lotion ($47.99) -- that are absolutely worth trying this summer. To wash away the day it’s Jason Nourishing Foaming Shower Oil ($11) and Olay Fresh Outlast in Energizing Lime ($6.99). Right out of the shower, Peter Lamas Spa Sensuals Energizing Antioxidant Body Lotion ($24)!

Cosmetics: We’re usually telling you to keep it simple when you’re chillin’ outdoors. A little CC cream, beach tint, mascara, lip tint and you’re good to go. That truly is our go-to style for summer. This summer, we’ve found a few products that really sizzle and are worth trying for a more sophisticated look. So, we’re including our absolute go-tos along with a few fresh must-tries!

The Big Chill - Our current favorites … Golden Door Zen CC Cream SPF 50 ($58) -- let’s just say that everyone on Team TME is calling this the number one must-have for Summer 2017! Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek ($24 – available in four shades), and Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Waterproof Mascara ($19).

Melt The Pavement: If you’re looking to have your base last, all day and night, then you have to try Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Soothing Make-Up Primer ($32). As we’ve named Golden Door Zen CC Cream the number one must-have, we would have to say that La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Transforming Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($195 – available in four shades) the number two must-have with its buildable coverage. Mirabella Visionary Longwear Eyeshadow ($19) isn’t going to crease and looks beautiful all day or night, Charlotte Tilbury Cara D. Brow Lift Eyebrow Pencil ($30) is amazing and takes minutes to shape and define, jane iredale bronzer refills ($44 each) – these three bronzer quads can be swept across eyes, cheeks and lips to contour and highlight for a luxurious look that’s made in the shade! Of course, you have to grab the NEW rose gold slim compact ($18) for on the go, rounding out our menagerie of makeup … LAUREN+VANESSA Lip Stick ($24) with lots of shades and amazing cushion!

We found so many amazing products that we believe are must-haves for Summer 2017. Did you really think that we would forget the guys or leave you in the lurch with your hair? Jamais! We’ll be back with "Summer 2017 Beauty and Grooming Essentials Part Two" tomorrow!

Charlotte Tilbury Kicks Off NYFW with the ‘Made for History’ Fashion Show

There’s no better way to kick off New York Fashion Week than with a fashion show and party hosted by Vogue's esteemed editor, Anna Wintour. On Tuesday evening, September 6th, Anna brought together some of the leading lights in the fashion and beauty industry -- including legendary makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury -- to volunteer their time and creative energies, bringing to life the looks that walked the runway at the “Made for HistoryFashion Show”.

The incredible evening featured designs and appearances by the world’s biggest names in fashion, Joseph Altuzarra, Tory Burch, Georgina Chapman, Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne, Eva Fehren, Prabal Gurung, Brett Heyman, Marc Jacobs, Pamela Love, David Neville & Marcus Wainwright, Monique Pean, Tanya Taylor, Thakoon, Diane von Furstenberg and Jason Wu – and unforgettable makeup looks created by Charlotte Tilbury.

The Looks From Made For History Show:

The Social SetAltuzarra: This look is all about refined, polished Uptown Goddess beauty (Uptown Girl/Golden Goddess hybrid). Perfect skin with groomed arches that frame effortlessly gilded taupe-y golden Goddess eyes. Flawless, poreless skin was created with Charlotte’s skin-drenching Magic Cream and a touch of foundation that allows the skin to glow through, and any imperfections were retouched as the social set don’t have any, darling! Lips are sumptuous and pillow-y with Charlotte’s trademark nude-y-pink Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk and Bitch Perfect KISSING lipstick. Cheeks were adorned with a swish and pop of rosy Love Glow.

The Rocker Rebel – Marc Jacobs: This look is all about a strong, brushed-up Joan Jett boyish brow, a contoured, matte chocolate brown eye, above and underneath the lash-line, and bare lips that were hydrated, and nude. Skin was fresh, and flawless and brows were brushed up using Legendary Brows and Brow Lift for the ultimate power brow combination in one shade darker than normal. Eyes were defined in a smoky way with a Sophisticate Smoke shade using the Blender brush backwards and forwards across the eyelid for the ultimate punk-rock 90s cool gaze. Charlotte used the Rock Chick palette Smoke shade for the darker skinned models for serious definition and finished off with lashings of mascara. Lips were moisturised with Lip Magic, and then a light combination of Penelope Pink and Nude Kate was patted onto the lips for a plumped up, pillowy, rocker lip.

Flower Children – Thakoon: This look is all about glowing skin, smattering fake freckles, curled lashes, no mascara, and a blush of Beach Stick in Formentera for pinched sun-scorched cheeks.

Marchesa: This look is all about fresh skin with a contoured, soft, glossed smoky eye with a punk twist (eyelid was washed with Sophisticate Enhance, and blended with the cooling Eyes to Mesmerise in Mona Lisa, with a little bit of Bewtiching Black Colour Chameleon along the lash line for extra punk definition on the gaze), and lashings of mascara. Brows were brushed up, the skin is naturally glowing with a light contour, and the lips were pressed with lip balm for a hydrated, plumped up, semi-matte look. It is both elegant but rock chick. Lips were left bare, and cheeks were slightly sculpted with the Sculpt shade of Filmstar Bronze and Glow!

You can directly alter their state of mind and body through this scent and spark a subliminal key to attraction,” – Charlotte Tilbury

Kate on a true soul level encompasses everything that is ethereal and powerful about this perfume. “I have known Kate for 25 years now, and have had so many incredible experiences with her… she gets me and she gets the scent!,” shared Tilbury.

Charlotte and I have always had this instant, naughty chemistry – we danced side by side together during the shoot. Charlotte has this electric passion and energy for life – she’s a bit magical. It felt totally natural to do her first fragrance campaign together!" -Kate Moss on Scent of a Dream

The campaign was shot by Sølve Sundsbø and the film was directed by Baillie Walsh. Scent of A Dream starring Kate Moss launches on August 15, 2016 exclusive online at Charlotte Tilbury. Scent of A Dream will be available select retail locations in September.

Bella Hadid and Amal Clooney at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Bella Hadid secured supermodel status on the red carpet at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Gala last night in the South of France. Bella joined a glittering array of stars on the red carpet, wearing a cut-out nude and embellished Roberto Cavalli by Peter Dundas gown. She complimented the dress with a natural, clean and bright makeup look by makeup artist Patrick Ta for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. Ta created a look that focused on a flawless, contoured complexion, soft smoky eyes and an effortlessly cool nude lip.

Ta shares the steps to create Bella’s red carpet look:
  1. Patrick prepped Bella’s skin with a generous layer of Charlotte Tilbury’s signature Magic Cream to give the complexion a luminous glow and to create a smooth, flawless base.
  2. Next, Ta lightly applied Light Wonder Foundation in Shade 3 to ensure Bella’s complexion looked clean and bright (a look favoured by the glamourous model) and concealed any imperfections with The Retoucher in Shade 2.
  3. Ta continued by lightly contouring Bella’s killer cheekbones using Charlotte’s cult favorite, Filmstar Bronze and Glow. Patrick noted ‘This product photographs amazingly and Bella loves a softly contoured look’.
  4. Ta finished the glowing complexion with Cheek to Chic Blusher in First Love on the apples of Bella’s cheeks for a ‘healthy flush’ and followed with a light dusting of Airbrush Flawless Finish in Shade 1 to ensure long wear.
  5. Bella wanted her eyes to look ‘clean and bright’. To achieve this look Ta used The Luxury Palette in The Sophisticate layered with The Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita. Next, using the rich chocolate brown shade from The Luxury Palette in Dolce Vita, Ta used an angled brush to draw a thin wing starting half way on the eyelid and smudged outwards for a smoky eye effect.
  6. To achieve red-carpet glamour, Ta curled Bella’s lashes using Life Changing Lashes and applied two coats of Charlotte’s new Legendary Lashes mascara for an instant false lash effect.
  7. To complete the look, Ta applied the fresh; nude toned K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink to compliment the naturally flushed cheeks and Bella’s signature effortless look.

Amal Clooney made her debut on the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival red carpet this evening for the "Money Monster" Premiere. Amal was the embodiment of old Hollywood glamour in a pastel yellow asymmetrical Versace gown, Cartier jewelry and a classic red carpet beauty look by close friend and iconic makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. Charlotte worked her legendary makeup magic giving Amal a soft smoky eye, perfect red pout and a flawless complexion.

Charlotte shares the steps to create Amal’s red carpet look:
  1. First, Charlotte moisturized the skin with her signature Magic Cream to prep and hydrate, then primed with her secret weapon Wonderglow.
  2. Next, Magic Foundation in Shades 7 and 8 were applied to ensure Amal’s complexion was flawless, followed by a light concealing of any imperfections with The Retoucher in Shade 3. Charlotte then used her sell-out product Mini Miracle Eye Wand in Shade 2 on the eye socket to brighten and lift.
  3. Charlotte continued by warming up Amal’s complexion using her Bronzer Brush with the sculpt shade in Filmstar Bronze and Glow and dusting it across her temples and over the cheekbones. Next, Charlotte applied Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy on top of Amal’s cheekbones for a romantic flush.
  4. Charlotte continued with facial framework by softly perfecting Amal’s already perfect eyebrows with Brow Lift in Cara D.
  5. To create Amal’s mesmerizing eyes, Charlotte applied the pop shade from The Luxury Palette in The Vintage Vamp onto the lids for a soft shimmer. Next, Charlotte took her Rock n Kohl Eyeliner in Barbarella Brown and followed the upper lash line along and out into a soft flick for subtle definition. Using her Smudger Brush Charlotte used the enhance shade from The Luxury Palette in The Golden Goddess to softly define the waterline of the eyes.
  6. To achieve red-carpet glamour, Charlotte curled Amal’s lashes using Life Changing Lashes and applied two coats of her new Legendary Lashes mascara for an instant false lash effect.
  7. To complete the look, Charlotte applied the ultimate Hollywood red lipstick K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Love Bite to give instant glamour.

Charlotte Tilbury products are available online at Charlotte Tilbury and select retail locations.

InStyle Awards Makeup Artist of the Year Charlotte Tilbury Shares How-Tos

At the inaugural InStyle Awards, held on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, honored the actors, designers, and artists whose style defines the red carpet and celebrated the behind-the-scenes work that goes into securing a spot on “Hollywood’s 50 Best Dressed” list.

Charlotte Tilbury received the Makeup Artist of the Year Award among the biggest names in Hollywood. Her friend Kim Kardashian West presented her the award, while Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Olivia Culpo were all in attendance to support and celebrate Charlotte’s accomplishments.

This honor is the culmination of a whirlwind year for Charlotte. One that saw her launching her eponymous skincare and makeup line in the US and Canada (which has since become an international phenomenon); create unforgettable looks for the biggest Fashion Weeks shows around the world; and glam up some of the most famous face's in the World for the biggest red carpet events, such as the Oscars, Golden Globes, MET Gala and Cannes. These include Sienna Miller, Blakely Lively and Kate Moss. There was also a little known event called George and Amal’s wedding, for which she did Mrs. Clooney’s makeup. This all between cultivating a cult-like celebrity following that includes Jennifer Aniston, Penelope Cruz, Cara Delevigne, Sofia Vergara, Olivia Palermo, Naomi Campbell, the Kardashian-Jenner ladies, Liberty Ross, Ashley Greene, Shay Mitchell and Rachel Roy (and many more). In a nutshell, 2015 has been full of MAJOR MOMENTS for Charlotte Tilbury.

The secret to Charlotte's famous guests' beauty looks from the InStyle Awards:

Step One: Charlotte created THE BOMBSHELL look, featuring a striking modern matte red lip, flawless, dreamy skin and accentuated eyes.

Step Two: The eyes were gilded with Eyes To Mesmerise in Jean, a gorgeous, gleaming wash of color that makes the eyes looks instantly brighter and more awake. For definition and depth, Charlotte used the Eyes To Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette along the upper lash line, and underneath the eye. Charlotte created a beautiful Feline Flick using the Rock N’ Kohl pen in Barbarella Brown and finished Miranda's eyes with Full Fat Lashes Mascara.

Step Three: For the lips, Charlotte started by lining the outline of lips with the Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Kiss N’ Tell. Next, she applied the Norman Parkinson special edition Matte Revolution in 1975 Red, a mesmerizing, deep, sunset-red hue that works perfectly with Miranda's naturally sun-kissed complexion.  A touch of Charlotte's signature Matte Bombshell Red, Red Carpet Red, completes the look.

Step One: To complement Olivia’s divine, deep crimson, high-necked dress, Charlotte wanted to create THE VINTAGE VAMP, a sexy, sultry seventies-inspired look with a smokey eye.

Step Two: Charlotte started the eye by washing the prime shade across the entire eyelid and then working the enhancing shade back and forth into the outer corners of the eyes. Next, she traced the smoke shade alone the upper lash line and created a Feline Flick using the Rock ‘N’ Kohl in Barbarella Brown along the lash line.

Step Three: The Vintage Vamp is all about a deep crimson lip, so Charlotte created a modern Matte Revolution lip with a twist, instantly making Olivia’s lips look wider, fuller and plumper.  Charlotte traced the lip line with Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Savage Row and filled in lips with Matte Revolution in Glastonberry.

Step One: Charlotte wanted to create a natural, beachy, bronzed, glowing look to complement Alessandra's daring and hypnotizing cutout dress.

Step Two: For perfected, beautiful skin, Charlotte started with her Magic Cream, which instantly drenches the skin with moisture. She applied the Light Wonder Foundation in 7, and retouched any darkness under the eyes with her Retoucher pen in Number 2.

Step Three: THE GOLDEN GODESS look is never complete without some genius contouring. Using the Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, Charlotte carved some killer cheekbones into Alessandra’s flawless complexion. Drip candlelight along the tops of the cheekbones and follow the hollow. Follow with Beach Sticks in Moon Beach & Las Salinas to the apples of Alessandra’s cheeks to give them a gold-flecked, tawny-rose blush of color.
