Deborah Lippmann Fall 2015 Roar Collection Preview

Just ahead of its August release, TME gives readers a sneak peak of Deborah Lippmann’s latest offerings. With four brand new nail lacquers, this collection evokes feminine strength and echoes the united voice of women everywhere. Inspired by the rebirth of female empowerment and iconic leaders like Grace Jones and Cher, Deborah specifically designed these shades to represent that power with color. The Deborah Lippmann “Roar” Collection for Fall 2015 is absolutely the high-end and innovative quality that one expects from the brand.

Previewed at the Badgley Mischka A/W 2015 runway show, the hues offer up full coverage shades that are sumptuous for Fall 2015. From the discerning She Wolf and the boardroom dominating Miss Independent, to the brick red that demands Respect and glittery bronze that Can’t Be Tamed, this collection is stunning for Fall and easily transitions into Winter -- of course we’re not ones to allow the season to dictate our paw color …

Deborah Lippmann Fall 2015 Roar Collection Shades:

  • She Wolf – Taupe (Crème)
  • Respect - Brick Red (Crème)
  • Miss Independent – Berry Wine (Crème)
  • Can’t Be Tamed - Holographic Honey Gold (Glitter)

The DL Fall 2015 Collection isn’t limited to just lacquers. With the introduction of Genie In a Bottle ($20), Deborah Lippmann offers the ultimate nail treatment. Genie In a Bottle Illuminating Nail Tone Perfector enhances the color and tone of natural nails, making them look younger and healthier.

Genie In a Bottle is the first product of its kind to use ultra sheer violet pigments, the ideal color match for neutralizing dull, stained or yellow nails, to cancel out discoloration and make them look even-toned with radiant white tips. Finely milled pigments brighten while Mica reflects light for nails that look naturally beautiful. Genie In A Bottle has become Team TME’s favorite nail treatment of the season with its versatility -- Apply as a neutralizing base coat before color, or wear alone for a perfected natural nail look.

As with all other Deborah Lippmann products, Genie In a Bottle is 5-free, contains green tea extract and biotin, and is cruelty-free. Deborah Lippmann’s Fall 2015 Roar Collection will be available August 2015 ($18 each; $20 for Can’t Be Tamed), with Genie In A Bottle available August 2015 exclusively at Sephora until October 2015. You may find Deborah Lippmann products online at Deborah Lippmann and select retail locations such as Barneys New York, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Hottest Nail Trends For Summer 2015 With Deborah Lippmann ‘Painted Desert’ Collection

Inspired by Coachella, Deborah Lippmann has launched sexy new shades for Summer 2015. The new collection “Painted Desert” features shades that give a nod to the free spirit feel of summer. The Summer 2015 Painted Desert Collection features four brand news shades: Shifting Sands, Terra Nova, Love In the Dunes and Desert Moon, which will be available May 2015.

The Striped Negative Space Nail Look For Summer 2015

Step 1: Apply Deborah Lippmann Fast Girls base coat and let dry fully.
Step 2: Using French tip guides, or thin pieces of scotch tape (1/8-inch recommended), place two across the middle of each nail to create a total of three areas to paint. (Note: one color will ultimately be painted at the moon/base, one color in the middle and one color at the tip).
Step 3: One nail at a time, paint a section with one of the four shades from the Summer 2015 Painted Desert collection: Shifting Sands, Terra Nova, Love In The Dunes and Desert Moon. Wait two minutes to dry.
Step 4: Quickly and carefully lift the scotch tape or tip guides, then repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining nails.
Step 5: Carefully apply a second coat of color to each nail with a nail art detail brush, waiting two minutes to dry.
Step 6: Finish the look by applying a Deborah Lippmann topcoat, such as Addicted To Speed.

Products Used: Deborah Lippmann Fast Girls Base Coat ($20), Deborah Lippmann Shifting Sands Nail Lacquer (NEW May 2015 - $18), Deborah Lippmann Terra Nova Nail Lacquer (NEW May 2015 - $18), Deborah Lippmann Love In the Dunes Nail Lacquer (NEW May 2015 - $18), Deborah Lippmann Desert Moon Nail Lacquer (NEW May 2015 - $18) and Deborah Lippmann Addicted To Speed Top Coat ($20).

The Ombré Nail Look For Summer 2015

Step 1: Apply a Deborah Lippmann base coat, such as the new All About That Base.
Step 2: Think of the length of your nail in stripes of seven horizontal sections. Stipple the 7 colors in the following order from down at the base up the nail towards the tip: Shifting Sands, You’ve Got A Friend, Terra Nova, Let’s Stay Together, Love In The Dunes, Desert Moon and Come Fly With Me. To “Stipple”, use a small nail art brush with a little bit of color on it to make tiny, uneven dots. Use a light, swift hand and a small amount of polish and quickly dab the brush to help blend the colors together. Wait two minutes to dry.
Step 3: Repeat step 2, waiting two minutes to dry. Working on the gradation of two colors at a time blends the easiest. Think of the dots intertwining to transition colors and create an ombré effect.
Step 4: Finish the look by applying Deborah Lippmann Addicted To Speed top coat.

Products Used: Deborah Lippmann All About That Base CC Base Coat ($20), Deborah Lippmann Shifting Sands Nail Lacquer, Deborah Lippmann You’ve Got a Friend Nail Lacquer (sold in a set of fashion sizes, 15th Anniversary I’ve Gotta Be Me Limited Edition Collection - $49), Deborah Lippmann Terra Nova Nail Lacquer, Deborah Lippmann Let’s Stay Together Nail Lacquer (sold in a set of fashion sizes, Recipe for Love Limited Edition Collection - $36), Deborah Lippmann Love In the Dunes Nail Lacquer, Deborah Lippmann Desert Moon Nail Lacquer, Deborah Lippmann Come Fly With Me Nail Lacquer (sold in a set of fashion sizes, 15th Anniversary Until Your Dreams Come True Limited Edition Music Box - $195), and Deborah Lippmann Addicted To Speed Top Coat.

Deborah Lippmann Summer 2015 Painted Desert Collection will be available May 2015 online at Deborah Lippmann and at select retail locations such as Barneys New York, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Sephora.
