Rihanna's 'Wild Thoughts' Grammy's Look How To

WHERE: 60TH Annual Grammy Awards

WHO: Rihanna

HAIR BY: Yusef Williams

INSPIRATION: “To match the vibe of the performance, we wanted to give Rihanna super big, dreamy disco diva hair.” - Yusef Williams

  1. To start, I prepped Rihanna’s hair with mousse and then blew it out using the ghd air hairdryer ($199) to create extra volume in the root.
  2. Once dried, I used the NEW ghd gold professional styler ($199) to smooth out the root and get rid of flyaways.
  3. Then, using the ghd CURVE classic wave wand ($199), I curled sections of the hair to create fluffy, gorgeous curls.
  4. Once all the hair was curled, I used the NEW ghd gold professional styler ($199) to soften any tight curls and create bouncy waves.
  5. I then softly brushed out the curls for added volume using ghd oval dressing brush ($40). Lastly, I spritzed a finishing spray to hold the style and added in an orchid to complete the look for the “Wild Thoughts” performance.

Solange Knowles At The 59th Annual Grammy Awards Get The Look

At the 2017 Grammy Awards, celebrity makeup artist Dana Delaney gave the award winner Solange Knowles a warm and shimmering neutral look using Chantecaille skincare and makeup.

INSPIRATION: Dana was inspired by the golden glamour of Diana Ross. She wanted
Solange to have a pared-down natural look with an element of interest.

How-To Achieve Solange’s Grammy’s Look:

1. Dana prepped Solange’s skin by massaging in Chantecaille Bio Lifting Oil Free Fluid to hydrate skin and prevent any dry patches.
2. Future Skin Foundation in Banana and Suntan and Stress Repair Concentrate were blended into her skin for sheer coverage. Banana was used in the center of the face and Suntan was blended through the hollows of the cheeks and forehead to match her complexion. Le Camouflage Stylo Concealer was applied in areas that needed extra coverage. She then brushed Chantecaille HD Perfecting Powder in her T-zone to prevent shine.
3. For a touch of light and warmth, Dana used a buffing brush to blend Radiance Gel Bronzer to add dimension to Solange’s cheeks. Liquid Lumiere in Sheen was lightly tapped on the tops of her cheeks and the center of her eyelids with a damp makeup sponge. A hint of Cheek Crème in Shy was added for a flush of color.

1. For shimmering lids with touches of copper and gold, Dana used the Protect the Lions palette on the lid before going over it with Mermaid Eye Color in Copper.
2. Chantecaille Luster Glide Silk Infused Eyeliner in Earth was applied to the lashline and slightly smudged using her finger. She coated Solange’s lashes with Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara.
3. Solange’s eyebrows were brushed up and filled in using Waterproof Brow Definer in Oak Brown.
4. For a graphic visual, Dana gave Solange black accents above her eyelids with Le Stylo Eyeliner in black.

1. Solange’s lips were lined in Lip Definer in Tone.
2. Dana mixed Chantecaille Lip Potion and Gaia Lip Chic and dabbed it on the center of her lips for a light neutral hue.

1. For a healthy glow, Dana mixed Chantecaille’s new Rose de Mai Body Oil with a drop of Radiance Gel Bronzer and rubbed it into Solange’s skin to highlight her shoulders, arms and legs.

Chrissy Teigen 2016 Grammy Awards Hair Look How To

At the 58th annual Grammy Awards event on Monday, Feb. 15 mom-to-be Chrissy Teigen looked absolutely glowing as she and husband John Legend hit the Red Carpet. Chrissy teamed up with Celebrity Stylist Jen Atkin for an amazing hair look for the event. Atkin gave the stunning mother-to-be an on-trend ponytail using TRESemmé's new Beauty-Full Volume collection.

Get The Look With TRESemmé:

First prep the hair using the entire TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume reverse wash system. Atkin used the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner followed by the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo.

Next, Atkin applied the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer. As she continued, she applied the OUAI soft mousse directly to Teigen's damp hair. Taking a large metal round brush, Atkin started blowing drying the Chrissy’s hair straight. Once the hair was completely dry, she used a flat iron and straightened the hair.

Then apply OUAI hair oil followed by the OUAI finishing cream before gathering the hair. Taking the hair gathered, create a high ponytail before securing it with a brown bungee brand elastic. Pro Tip: “To hide the bungee band, wrap section of hair from ponytail around the bungee band and secure with small hair pin” -Jen Atkin

Once completed, mist some of the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray on a toothbrush to brush away flyaways. To finish the look apply more OUAI hair oil through the entire ponytail. This will create a very smooth yet sleek style.

Zendaya Shares Her COVERGIRL Beauty Look at the Grammy’s

Hope you’re ready for music’s biggest night – the Grammy’s! COVERGIRL Zendaya did her own makeup for the big night, and TME is sharing with you her beauty breakdown so that you can #GetThatGlam at home. We’ve included the specific products, shades and techniques she used to complete her look, straight from Zendaya herself! From doing her own makeup to launching her new song “Something New” – it’s safe to say that Zendaya is a COVERGIRL of many talents.

“As a new COVERGIRL, I did my own makeup tonight!” - Zendaya

Zendaya GRAMMY’S Red Carpet Beauty Look:

The GRAMMYS is a fun award show and a bit edgier than my last red carpet event, so my amazing stylist, Law Roach and I decided to try a whole new approach. Together we picked out this awesome menswear inspired suit and decided I would keep my makeup a bit more natural to balance out my look.

For the eyes, I wanted to keep the look soft, but with major lashes! I am a huge eyeshadow fan and currently loving truNAKED Eyeshadow Palettes because they are really pigmented and are so versatile. Today I used the Nudes palette and I love that no matter the look you are trying to achieve, these palettes offer a variety of colors and textures for a flawless look. I even used the lighter shade within the palette as a highlighter on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on the cupids bow. I’ve always been a fan of drugstore makeup and I swear these palettes work just as good as the expensive ones.  To define my eyes, I lined my upper lid with Intensify Me! Liquid Liner in Intense Black and finished with Plumpify Mascara. This mascara gives loads of volume by lifting the lashes from the root, making them stand out more.  I always finish any look by grooming my brows – it’s key!

Once my eyes are done, I apply foundation to clean up any mistakes or eyeshadow that sprinkled on my face. I started by applying foundation at the center of my face and worked my way out. Today I used truBlend Liquid Makeup in Caramel Beige, then warmed up my skin with truBLEND bronzer and added a pop of color with truBLEND blush. The end look is flawless, yet my skin shines through and I don’t feel overly made up.

Now, no look of mine is ever complete without a touch of color on the lips – tonight I used Colorlicious Oh Sugar! In Caramel. I love that these lip balms help to keep the lips hydrated while still providing a light wash of color. For a final touch, I added a swipe of Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams in Caramel Cream, topped with a dab of Queen Collection Colorlicious Gloss in Premier Pink to complete the look.

HAIM Wears Urban Decay Cosmetics At Grammys Get the Look

HAIM, the indie sibling trio, has officially arrived! They quickly made their way through the festival circuit and snagged a spot at the 57th Grammy Awards, held on Feb. 8, with a “Best New Artist” nomination. For HAIM’s premiere on the Grammys Red Carpet, makeup artist Jo Baker used Urban Decay Cosmetics to give the trio -- Este, Danielle, and Alana -- gorgeous, natural looks in keeping with their chill, indie style, but still with a hint of that classic, UD edge.

Jo’s Inspiration: “The HAIM girls opted for a chic and sophisticated look for the Grammys. I kept the makeup muted, with a monochromatic neutral color palette and a pop of red lippy on Este! I used neutral matte tones around the eyes and deep nudes on Danielle and Alana's lips, keeping the makeup soft and flattering and in unison with one another. The rounded shape of the eye shadow hollowed out their eyes, making the girls’ eyes look elegant, soft yet striking. I focused on the tones and the shape of the eye makeup, allowing their natural beauty to show and not to be overpowered by the makeup!”

Get the Look From Jo Baker:
STEP 1: HAIM is known for their unique "less is more" makeup approach.  I kept their skin feeling lightweight and beautiful using Urban Decay NAKED Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28) gently pressed around the eyes and onto any imperfections.

STEP 2: On top of the concealer, I swirled the Urban Decay NAKED Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation ($36) with a small powder brush in circular motions. This matte yet creamy powder feels velvety on application and blends onto the skin beautifully. It diffuses light to create a luminous flawless appearance and, like the concealer, it has buildable coverage.

STEP 3: Before the shadow I applied a thin layer of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($20) over the entire lid on all three girls. This legendary product creates a perfect, crease-free, invisible base - and keeps your eyes looking fresh for up to 24hrs! I use my finger tip to gently smooth it over the entire lid, being careful not to drag the skin around the eye area, because it is more delicate that the rest of the face.

STEP 4:  I used one eye shadow palette for all three girls – the Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette ($29) delivers six cool matte tones, light through dark.
  • On Este, I applied "Walk of Shame" shadow all over her lid, blending the edges, and then applied "Naked2" shadow over the top, blending both colors together to create a soft mushroom matte smoky eye.
  • On Danielle, I hollowed around her eye socket with "Walk of Shame" and used "Faint" around the edges of her eyes to add intensity.
  • On Alana, I kept her eyes lighter. I applied "Foxy" over whole lid and “Walk of Shame” towards the outer eye crease to add a subtle depth.

STEP 5: I followed each girl’s eye makeup with a light coat of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($20). This jet black formula is ultra creamy--it lengthens and fattens the lashes, yet maintains a gel-like finish, avoiding the usual brittle finish of other mascaras that can clump and crumble. I left the cheeks bare and color-free to show off their clean and naked looking skin.

STEP 6: I completed their Grammy looks with the beautifully pigmented, comfortable, creamy Revolution Lipsticks ($22).
  • At the last minute, Este wanted a powerful statement red lip (she's known for her red lip), and Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in “69” gave her the bold, rich red color she was craving!
  • On Danielle, I applied Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in "Sheer Liar."  The deep, but sheer, nude tone was the perfect complement, and easy to reapply. This soft lip look doesn’t need lip liner.
  • On Alana, I used Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in "Sheer Rapture" - its subtle mauve nude was ideal to enhance her bright blue eyes to really pop and allow them to be the main focus!

Katy Perry at the 2015 GRAMMYs Get The Look With Jake Bailey

Still riding her post-Super Bowl performance high, KatyPerry shined on the red carpet at the 57th Grammy Awards, held on Feb. 8. Katy wore an outfit fresh off the Paris Couture runway, a crystal-embellished, sheer dress by Zuhair Murad. Her gorgeous Red Carpet Look was created by TME favorite Jake Bailey

Jake's Inspiration: "Katy and I decided on a dewy rose/nude palette for [last night's] look. This is what I call a 'balanced' look ... all key features are in play. Eyes, cheeks, and lips so one does not outdo the other. Often makeup looks are 'all about the lips' or 'all about the eyes' with the other features playing a supporting role. This is an ensemble cast of colors."

Katy Perry Grammy 2015 Get The Look:

Skin: I matched Katy's skin to COVERGIRL Stay Fabulous Outlast3-in-1 Foundation in Natural Beige and buffed a small amount evenly all over her face and neck using a flat tipped kabuki style foundation brush. I then lengthened and arched her brows using COVERGIRL Pow-Der Brow + Liner in Medium Brown.

Eyes: I began the eye look with COVERGIRL Eye Shadow Quads in Blooming Blushes. I began with the darkest shade blending it into the crease and outer corners of her eyes to elongate and add depth. I then used the second darkest shade along the middle of her lids, the third shade on the inner lid and the lightest shade as a highlighter concentrated on the innermost corners of the eye and to highlight the brow bone creating a multidimensional eye in soft complimentary colors. I then created her signature "cat eye" using COVERGIRL Bombshell Intensity Liner. I finished the eyes with two coats on the top and bottom with COVERGIRL Full Lash Bloom by LashBlast Mascara.

Having finished the eye I touched up the skin a bit and dusted her lightly with COVERGIRL Clean Powder to set. I then took the paler shades from the COVERGIRL Clean Glow Blush compact and swirled it onto the apples of her cheeks for a warm glow. I then took the darkest shade and blended it into the hollows of her cheeks to accentuate her bone structure.

Lips: I finished the look by coating her lips with a warm nude lipstick called Sultry Sienna from the COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lipstick collective and topping it with just a touch of COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lip Gloss in Melted Toffee for shine.

Grammy 2015 Celebrity Hair Get The Look With Redken and Pureology

From AC/DC kicking off the show to Madonna’s risqué performance, there was no shortage of high notes at last night’s Grammy Awards. One of the biggest surprises of the night was Beck’s “Album of the Year” win, who together with wife Marissa Ribisi, seemed as surprised as the rest of the audience when he won the award.

Tracey Cunningham, Redken Celebrity Colorist helped Chrissy Teigen and Beck’s wife, actress Marissa Ribisi, prepare for the awards with Redken color and shares with us her secrets below.

Chrissy Teigen: To create the ultimate combination of brightness and lift, Tracey applied Redken Flash Lift, a maximum power lightening powder, and finished with Shades EQ Gloss, an ammonia-free, no-lift formula that acts as a glaze, color refresher and color corrector, to create Chrissy’s healthy blonde look.

Marissa Ribisi: Tracey applied Redken Chromatics, an ammonia-free permanent haircolor providing up to 100% gray coverage, to Marissa’s base. She followed with Redken’s NEW Blonde Idol High Lift Conditioning Cream Color from the Professional Haircolor Collection (coming to salons this March) to create subtle highlights for added dimension.

To continue to protect the haircolor after their service, Tracey recommends that her clients use Redken Color Extend Magnetics Sulfate-Free Haircare to seal in color and deliver maximum vibrancy and shine.

Pureology Artistic Ambassadors Ruth Roche and Sandra Joseph share simple steps to recreate the red carpet looks at home.

Madonna 2015 Grammy’s Get The Look From Makeup Artist Gina Brooke

At the 57th Grammy Awards, held on Feb. 8, Madonna rocked the stage in a chic, matador look that reflected the duality of her two personas, created by celebrity makeup artist Gina Brooke using exclusively Chantecaille products. Celebrity Makeup Artist Gina Brooke created the look and we have the info for you!

Gina’s Inspiration: “Madonna and I collaborated to create a look that reflects and enhances her new ‘Rebel Heart’ album. The title represents the two facets of Madonna: the rebel, freedom fighter and her other side, the ultimate romantic who is ‘Living for Love,’ (the title of her new single). The look is inspired by Madonna's feeling that a person has many facets and can be more than one thing at a time.”

Madonna 2015 Grammy’s Get The Look:

  • I began by defining the brows using the dual ended Waterproof Brow Definer in Oak Brown. The triangle tip creates an effortless and precise application.
  • For eyeshadow, I used The Glacier Eye Shade Trio. I began by sweeping Iceberg (the lightest shade) across the center of Madonna's lids as a base. I also added this shade to the inner corner to create the illusion of brighter, wider eyes.
  • In the crease, I mixed Polar Light and Arctic Dusk from The Glacier Eye Shade Trio. I topped it off with Patchouli Lasting Eye Shade to intensify the crease and create depth.
  • When applying makeup for a stage performance, I need to use products that are reliable. To accentuate and enhance Madonna’s eyes, I used 24H Waterproof Liner in Black, starting at the inner corner of the eye and working outwards towards the outer corner, elongating the line of the eye.
  • For a stage performance I always apply liquid eyeliner. I like Le Stylo Ultra Slim Liquid Liner in Black because it’s not only water resistant, but it intensifies the line under the strong stage lights.
  • For long beautiful lashes, I used one of my favorite mascara's of all time, Faux Cils Mascara in Black.
  • Rather than using shadow to accentuate the brow bone, I applied Brow Lift Èclat, which created a softer more subtle effect.

  • To create a flawless natural complexion, I used Future Skin Foundation in Porcelain. It’s an oil-free formula and has a light reflective circular pigment that reduces the appearance of any imperfections.
  • For luminous glowing skin, I applied Liquid Lumière in Sheen to the high points of Madonna's face. I started at the arch of the brow, moving down to the center of the cheek and went down the bridge of the nose, applying in the direction of the hair for a smooth application.
  • To contour, I applied Cheek Crème  in Shy right below the cheekbone and then added Cheek Crème in Playful to the apples of the cheeks for a pop of color.
  • To set the look, I used HD Perfecting Powder. I love this powder because it was specifically created for high definition cameras, leaving a flawless matte finish, ensuring long lasting wear.

  • For the red carpet, I used Lip Definer in Discreet and Hydra Chic in Arctic Rose.
  • To amp up the look for her performance, we switched to a red lip. I applied Lip Definer in Desire all over the lips to create a very matte finish.
  • To accentuate the upper lip, I applied Liquid Lumière in Sheen to the philtrum.

Rock Behati Prinsloo's Grammy 2015 Look

For the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, which took place on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Behati Prinsloo rocked her new bangs with tousled, ethereal waves thanks to stylist, Gio Campora. On the arm of her sexy rocker hubby, Adam Levine, Behati’s look was simple yet stunning!

Gio Campora found inspiration for Behati’s look in her understated, blush-toned Calvin Klein dress. The overall effect was easy, effortless and minimal … and here’s how you can Get The Look!

Step 1: Starting with wet hair, work in Herbal Essences Bombshell Babe Smoothing Mousse and blow dry loosely without using a brush to keep the hair’s natural wave and texture

Step 2: Then put hair in large rollers so they don’t create too much of a curl but still give hair a bit of wave and volume

Step 3: Leave the rollers in for about 45 minutes

Step 4: Once you remove the rollers, mist Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Dry Oil Spray to give the hair amazing movement and a smooth, silky texture

Step 5: Finish the look with Herbal Essences Set Me Up Max Hold Hairspray for an all-night hold

Behati’s angelic look continued with her makeup, which was done by celebrity makeup artist Monika Blunder. Monika focused on emphasizing Prinsloo’s skin, prepping it with Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum for a quick shot of radiance and Olay Micro Sculpting cream for hydration. Monika kept the glowing effect with Nars Tinted moisturizer, which she calls a balance between a tinted moisturizer and foundation, applied with a Beauty Blender.
