Kristen Stewart Debuts New Crop At TIFF

Kristen Stewart attended the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2019 for the Seberg Premiere and debuted a new 'do. Celebrity Hair Stylist, and longtime friend, Adir Abergel, created a cool crop on Kristen that features short sides and platinum tips. Adir’s inspiration was pulled from 80’s new wave, punk era.

THE LOOK:

Constructed with a deep side part into an angular lob tucked behind the ear. The sides of the hair were cut with a clipper in a very non-confirmative way giving the illusion that Kristen almost did it herself. The back of the hair was thinned out and had the shape of a modern-day mullet. This fresh look was a combination of a lot of styles pulled together with a relaxed cool vibe.

HOW TO

1. Adir started this style with towel dried hair and applied Virtue Volumizng Primer all over the roots to create memory at the base.

2. Next he combed the hair into a deep side part exposing the undercut.

3. He then applied Virtue UnFrizz Creamall over from mids to ends.

4. He rough dried the hair about 70% to create volume at the roots and then took a Denman brush to create a sleek finish to hair, leaving volume at roots.

5. After he got the shape in I took a flat iron and straightened the ends for a more punk finish on the ends.

6. To finish this look he used a combination  Virtue 6-IN-1 Stylerand Virtue Unfrizz Creamand applied all over hair to create a shiny, sleek finish.

New Hairstyle Inspirations For The New Year

As the year comes to a close, we all get the itch for change as we prepare to start fresh in the New Year. To give us a dose of inspiration for a new 2015 ‘do, Pureology Artistic Ambassador Natasha Sunshine shares her favorite haircuts for all lengths and tips on how to choose the best cut for your face shape.

Strong & Short: Kristen Stewart transformed herself from girl-next-door to Hollywood goddess with her sleek, short-layered haircut.
  • Best on: Oval face shapes
  • Best hair texture: Fine to medium, thick hair can look too masculine
  • Favorite product: Pureology Colour Stylist Density Definer medium hold crème wax
  • Styling time: 5 minutes
How to Style: Apply a nickel to quarter size of Pureology Colour Stylist Density Definer medium hold crème wax to damp hair. Emulsify product until it is evenly spread across both palms. Pat palms all over, making sure to cover all areas of the head. To finish, rake your hair back and tuck hair behind ears.

The Undone Bob: Model Karlie Kloss proves that cute can be sexy too with her playful, layered bob. The key to this style is mastering the “undone” style.
How to Style: Spray Pureology Curl Complete Uplifting Curl on damp hair and scrunch in. Apply a dollop of Colour Stylist Cuticle Polisher shine serum, evenly distributing throughout. Blowdry on a medium setting and scrunch a natural texture into the hair. If hair looks too undone and messy, use a 1” barrel iron on every other section of the hair. Point the tip of your iron towards the floor and wind hair in a spiral fashion away from the face (tip: just the ends is fine when curling hair at this length). Scrunch ironed curls and natural texture together to get a more polished yet not-too-perfect wave.

Layered Lob with Fringe: Alexa Chung nails it with this winning combo of almost blunt bangs and a long layered bob. The hint of auburn in her dark brown hair is the perfect accent to her sultry cut.
How to Style: Add a pea to dime size dollop of Colour Stylist Nourishing Nectar sculpting gel to damp hair. Distribute product evenly throughout. Blowdry fringe (bangs) with a medium-sized round brush. Scrunch the rest of your hair until dry. Add a dime size of Colour Stylist Piecing Sculpt high-holding sculpting fiber paste to ends for added shine and texture from mid-shafts to ends.

Classic Long Layers: The always stunning Blake Lively wears her golden locks in classic long layers. Be sure to add dimension to hair color, whether blonde or brunette, to make this style look its best.
  • Best on: Most face shapes
  • Best Hair Texture: Medium to thick hair
  • Favorite product: Pureology Colour Stylist Cuticle Polisher shine serum
  • Styling time: 25-35 minutes
How to Style: Apply a generous dollop of Colour Stylist Cuticle Polisher shine serum from mid-shaft to ends. Flip head over and blowdry while scrunching until dry. Using a 1 ½” barrel curling iron, grab large pieces (about 2-3” in diameter) and wrap around the iron in a spiral fashion. Change direction on each section and change the height at which you start the curl. For example, only curl the last 6” inches on some sections, the last 3” on others and some all the way from the root. Rotate all options to create a natural-looking texture. Scrunch all sections together once done and if necessary, flip head back over and add heat from the dryer to loosen curls. For added shine, add a touch more of Colour Stylist Cuticle Polisher.

Kristen Stewart Gets An Adir A-Do For The 2014 HFAs

Celebrity Hairstylist Adir Abergel created the Red Carpet look for Kristen Stewart on Friday, Nov. 14 for the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards (HFAs) held at the Hollywood Palladium. The 24-year-old actress attended the show in support of her movie “Still Alice,” which will be hitting theaters in limited release on December 5.

Stunning on the Red Carpet -- in a Chanel white strapless dress with silver trim and a chain mesh sleeveless turtleneck crop on top, that Kristen paired with the perfect Casadei stilettos. Despite a slightly unfortunate wardrobe malfunction (as if any awards event is interesting without one) Kristen looked sexy, chic and badass.

While the dress was indeed stunning, it was Kristen’s rockabilly pompadour that pulled the look from ordinary to extraordinary and none other than one of Team TME’s favorite stylists could have pulled the look together -- Adir Abergel! And being the sweetie that he is, Adir shared his how-to with TME readers!

“I was inspired by the stunning white and silver dress Kristen wore which had a high collar. To elongate the lines I created an edgy slicked back rockabilly style that was modern and chic,” shared Adir.

Get The Look:
  • First, I first started by parting the hair on both sides of the temples and the back section of head. I brushed them down and tight against the scalp to give it a more severe effect. I used Moroccan Oil Styling Gel to slick down the sides and back of the hair.
  •  I then applied Leonor Greyl Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice on roots to the top section of hair. This creates a perfect foundation and gave me the volume at the crown I was looking to achieve.
  • I blow-dried the hair with a diffuser to create movement and volume.  Once the hair was completely dry, I teased the root and smoothed the front with a Mason Pearson Brush for a pompadour effect.
  • For the final step I applied some Magic Move Soft Styling Paste with my fingers to break down the texture and give it a sexy finish. I locked in the look with Rene Furterer Vegetal Finishing Spray.
