INSPIRATION: “Imperial China with a suggestion of a modern
Geisha.” –Gucci Westman
FACE: The face was finished to provide an ethereal feeling
to skin using MINERALIZE CHARGED WATER FACE AND BODY LOTION to prepare and
applying M·A·C STUDIO FINISH SPF 35 CONCEALER only where needed to perfect.
CREAM COLOUR BASE in LUNA applied in a small amount over the upper cheekbones
to highlight. LIPSTICK in MEDIA applied with a focus on the front of the cheek,
pushed into the skin for a natural flush.
EYES: LIPSTICK in MEDIA was mixed with MIXING MEDIUM MATTE
and lightly pushed into the skin as a subtle wash stained around the entire
eye. The lashes were curled with M·A·C BOLD & BAD LASH in BOLD, BAD, BLACK
(AVAILABLE SPRING/SUMMER 2017) and only swept through the upper lash line to
accentuate and lift. The brows were groomed with BROW SET in CLEAR, with gaps
imperceptibly filled as needed with EYE BROWS in FLING or LINGERING. CREAM
COLOUR BASE in LUNA lightly applied through the inner eye to highlight.
LIPS: LIP PENCIL in SPICE used to naturally define the lips.
CREAM COLOUR BASE in LUNA touched lightly over the Cupid’s bow of lips to
highlight. LIPSTICK in MEDIA softly applied and patted over with LIPGLASS
CLEAR, creating a balmy effect on lips to finish.
INSPIRATION: “Clean and minimal, but with strength.” –DickPage
FACE: MINERALIZE TIMECHECK LOTION used to moisturize and
provide a smooth, matte finish to skin. M·A·C STUDIO WATERWEIGHT SPF 30
FOUNDATION softly applied only where needed to even and tone the skin using the
132 DUO FIBRE FOUNDATION BRUSH. M·A·C CONCEAL AND CORRECT PALETTE used as
needed for a minimal, flawless look to skin using either the 231 SMALL SHADER
or 286 DUO FIBRE TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH to apply. PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT
FINISHING POWDER swept through the centre of the face to lightly polish and
set. M·A·C STUDIO QUIKTRIK STICK in TIGHT AND TAWNY gently blended under the
cheekbone, to enhance the natural shape and contour, using the 132 DUO FIBRE
FOUNDATION BRUSH to softly apply.
EYES: The brows were the focus of the look: Brows were
brushed up and enhanced with a bit of coloured BROW SET to start. Eye Shadows
in ash-colored tones were then used with the 228 MINI SHADER BRUSH to gently
strengthen the shape the brow. EYE PENCIL in COFFEE applied through both the
upper and lower lash line softly smudged over with MIXING MEDIUM SHINE to
diffuse and catch the light. The lashes were well curled to open and naturally
lift the eye.
LIPS: LIP CONDITIONER (TUBE) applied to moisturize and
condition the lips. LIPSTICK in BRAVE gently pressed onto the lips with
fingertips for a barely there finish.
INSPIRATION: “By the herringbone fabric used in the clothing
and hair. It’s all about creating a new texture and evolution of makeup as
texture.” –Aaron de Mey
FACE: M·A·C STUDIO SCULPT SPF 15 Foundation was mixed with
ACRYLIC PAINT in PURE WHITE to create a pale, vampire-like skin with a ghostly
effect, along with a lightly powdered T-zone to finish.
EYES: Concealer was purposely not applied around the eye to
let the natural depth and contour shine through. Grey piping was used in three
different colors to create a strengthened, geometric-shaped brow.
LIPS: A lip shape appliqué of herringbone fabric was cut and
placed over the lip.
