Priyanka Get The Look Vanity Fair Oscars After Party

Inspiration: "Tonight Priyanka is wearing a dramatic black gown by ELIE SAAB with beadwork which I decided to mimic on the eyes.  The makeup is all about a dramatic eye, blackened corners and lids with shine and texture. I kept the rest of the face in neutral tones, blush very natural to Priyanka's skin tone and lips that are similar to her natural lip tone. Typically we work with Priyanka's natural lid shape, round, but this time we wanted an elongated eye for a more dramatic look." -Pati Dubroff

BREAKDOWN FROM PATI

First, I gently filled in brows with JILL STUART Beauty AiryStay Brow Liner (03)Second, I started her eyes with JILL STUART Beauty Iconic Look Eyeshadow (C204) along the crease to create depth with a warm skin like tone

"This was an essential part to her eyes as this creamy, bronzy copper color, allowed the shade of the dark eye to harmonize with her skin tone. Black can sometimes make those with darker skin tones look a bit grey and this helped the lid have a nice base wash to build on."

I created the corner shape with a thick black smudgeable eye pencil. Then, I used JILL STUART Beauty Twinkle Glow Multi Stick on the lid to add shine and make the lid look wet.

"This product is truly so beautiful and cool."

I added more depth to lash line corners with JILL STUART Beauty Kittenish Look Liner and finished off the eyes with JILL STUART Beauty Lasting Curl Blossom Waterproof Mascara.

For the lips, I used a combo of the JILL STUART Beauty Dressed Rouge (04) as a base and then on top,  a wash of the JILL STUART BeautyLip Blossom (46).

Yalitza Aparicio Oscars Beauty Look

Team TME just got the backstage beauty breakdown for this year's belle of the ball! Right from Celebrity Makeup Artist Carissa Ferreri, the master behind the makeup for Best Actress nominee Yalitza Aparicio, star of Roma and we're sharing it with you! This is an exciting moment for Yalitza (and let’s face it, all of us) – She’s the first Indigenous woman nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award. Her glam – a peachy lip, soft light eye and glowy skin– definitely accentuates this power moment!

Inspiration: My inspiration for Yalitza’s look was spring. Her (Rodarte) dress is a beautiful mint color and I wanted to do something fresh and soft with apricot and peach colors. ~ Carissa Ferreri

Skin: I do a lot of skin prep before starting on the makeup as it’s essential to begin a beauty look with a clean and smooth canvas. For Yalitza, I started with a mini facial using Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced Smoothing Facial Cleanser and mixing it with the RE9 Advanced Prepwork Cleansing Polish to really exfoliate and leave the skin looking fresh and bright.

Next, I used the RE9 Advanced Regenerating Toner to refresh the skin and add radiance. I love that it comes in a spray bottle with a light mist so I sprayed it on my sponge and applied it to her skin. Then I used the RE9 Advanced Intensive Renewal Serum, followed by the RE9 Advanced Prepwork Hydrating Dew Cream to hold in moisture. The last step was to add the RE9 Advanced Prepwork Gel Eye Masks to soothe and cool the under eye.

Eyes and Brows:  After skincare, I always move on to eyebrows and eyes so the products have time to work and penetrate the skin (I left the gel eye masks on the eyes throughout this process). I love a really fluffy and sculpted eyebrow so I applied the Shape It Up Brow Pencil in Dark and added the Eyebrow Gel to gives the brows more life.

For eyes, I wanted to do a very springy fresh and peachy look. Almost like a monochromatic look, so everything flowed nicely together. I used It’s All In The Eyes Volume 1 Palette and applied the shades Carroway and Clove for the crease and diffused any harsh lines. For the lids, I used It’s All In The Eyes Volume 2 Palette and applied the shades Opal and Prism, which is a beautiful peach color with gold undertones. This combination gave the exact peachy color I was looking for. I added a light touch of the It’s A Fine Line Pencil Eye Liner in Carob to the bottom lash line, leaving the top lash line bare.

Face and Body: For the face, I started with the Makeup Primer and followed that with the Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Golden Bronze. To mattify, I added the Got You Covered MineralPowder Foundation SPF 15 Sunscreen in Bronze which I applied to the center of her face to remove any shine.

For concealer, I mixed The Real Conceal Liquid Concealer in the shades Tan and Dark to brighten the under eye.

For cheeks, I applied Blush in the shades Blossom and Apricot to give a nice warm glow.

I applied Bronzer to the perimeter of her face and forehead to add dimension. I also applied the Bronzer to her cheekbones and brought it down to her shoulder to because it added such a pretty glow.

Body, I used the Intelligence Nourishing Facial Oil on her neck, shoulders and arms which hydrated and mattified the skin with a nice subtle glow.

Then I used the shade Moonstone from the Starlight Glow Palette and I used the shades Stardust and Twilight on her body, collar bone shoulders

Lips: I finished the look with a peachy lip. I used the Smoothed Over Lipstick in the shades Lily and Zinnia which left a lovely peachy finish.

Carissa used 100% clean, high-performance vegan skincare and makeup from the botanically based, cruelty-free beauty brand Arbonne!

Dove Cameron Oscars After Party Beauty Look

From Celebrity Makeup Artist, Melissa Hernandez, we scored the beauty break down for the gorgeous Dove Cameron! Dove attended last night's Oscars Vanity Fair After-Party and her Red Carpet look was nothing less then elegant!

FACE: I started off Dove’s look using Nanacoco Professional Cosmetics' gorgeous Airfair Brushes, which are launching next month! Using the Airfair Liquid Foundation Brush I applied CharlotteTilbury's Light Wonder Foundation to Dove’s face for a flawless look.

Next I used the Nanacoco Professional’s super-hydrating HD Cover Concealer for color correcting, and the Nanacoco HD powder in cool beige to blur any minor imperfection as I used a lighter-coverage foundation.

Nanacoco’s contouring & strobing palette in Light Pale was my go-to for brining structure and glow into Dove’s face. The dark and light matte shades in the palette allowed me to draw a lot of contrast for a more-striking look. The Airfair Highlighter Brush was perfect for applying the strong lines needed to achieve this look.

I finished off Dove’ face with HD Pressed Blush in Natural Pink + Weleda Skin Food on the high points of the face for a luscious glow.

EYES: For a glossy effect, I wanted to try something fun – I applied a wash of Nanacoco’s Shimmertallics Metallic Lip Gloss in Frosted Glaze onto Dove’s lids. It’s a really pretty almost snow color, perfect to make Dove’s blue eyes pop. It was simple but impactful. To complete the eyes I then applied a coat of Outlash Dramatic Length Mascara.

BROWS: Browstylers Micro Pencil in Taupe + Browstylers Brow Mascara in Blonde for a feathered effect. The combo of the two brow products allowed for a shapely and full yet natural.

LIPS: Last but not least, I applied a touch of Nanacoco’s Lipfinity Matte Lip Creme in the shade Bubblegum Pop using my finger to Layer the brand’s GlitznGloss in Mocha Madness overtop for an eye-catching pout.

All Nanacoco Professional Cosmetics are vegan and cruelty-free beauty. You can find products online!

MAKEUP AND SKIN BY:  Ashunta Sheriff

INSPIRATION: “Taraji is a firm believer in 'less is more' so we didn’t want to over complicate or overthink anything. What we were looking for is glamour. It’s old Hollywood with a modern twist.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: Using a mitt, Sheriff swept a layer of the St. Tropez Luxe Dry Oil, covering the body in a gorgeous, bronzy sheen that would keep her skin hydrated and flawless. For added definition, she sprayed the St. Tropez Dark Bronzing Mist just along the natural contours of her legs and arms for added definition. Sherriff also contoured Taraji’s face using St. Tropez 3-in-1 Bronzing Powder, sculpting her cheekbones and jawline. Later, once Taraji was dressed and ready to hit the carpet, Sheriff added NEW St. Tropez One Night Only Finishing Gloss onto her décolletage, arms, and legs to ensure every inch of skin that was showing would be absolutely glowing.

ADDITIONAL TIPS: Perfect Blend by Ashunta Sheriff Beauty in Tan was applied using the dual ended brush for a smooth and flawless coverage. Sheriff added a little more lift with MAC mineralized concealer in NC40 under Eye area and on brow bone. Then, she set makeup with Dermablend Oil Control Blotting powder using Surratt Beauty Powder Brush. Charlize Theron's Parted Pony At The Oscars Get the Look

HAIR BY: Enzo Angileri

INSPIRATION: The inspiration for Charlize’s hair was punk glamour but with a touch of Hollywood glamour.  We achieved this look with a ponytail.  The most important element of this style is to achieve all over shine and ensure that the hair looked healthy.

TIPS/TECHNIQUE:
After shampooing and conditioning the hair, I applied Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothing Oil on the ends of the hair because we wanted the ends of the hair to be super silky and be able to reflect light.  Then I used the ghd Natural Bristle Radial Brush ($45) with the ghd Air™ Hairdryer ($199) to blow dry the hair completely and then created a well defined part to the left.

Next, I sectioned the hair into 5 areas from the front to the back. Next, I used the ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand ($199), which was ideal because of its oval shape, to create an old Hollywood wave.  Then I lightly brushed out the curls with my fingers to create loose curls. After I pulled all the hair back and smoothed out the hair on the sides using a bit more of the Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothing Oil to achieve more shine.  I then fastened all of the hair into a ponytail with an elastic.

Lastly I used the ghd Platinum Styler ($249) to smooth out the ponytail and curved it little bit at the end.  I finished the look by spraying Wella Professionals EIMI Glam Mist for an incredibly shiny and smooth finish.

PRODUCTS: ghd platinum styler, ghd curve classic wave wand ($199), ghd air hairdryer ($199), ghd natural bristle radial brush ($40)

RETAILERS: ghd hair and Sephora

Kirsten Dunst 2017 Academy Awards Get The Look

At the 2017 Academy Awards, celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey gave Kirsten Dunst a striking bold look using Chantecaille makeup.

INSPIRATION: Jillian was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor and 1960s French couture. She wanted Kirsten to have a warm complexion with a statement lip and smoky eyes.

THE LOOK: Smoky eyes, glowing skin, and bold classic red lips.

Jillian’s tips to achieve Kirsten’s Academy Awards look:

FACE:
1. To de-puff and instantly brighten Kirsten’s under eyes, Jillian used Chantecaille Gold
Energizing Eye Masks ($195).

2. To create a dewy flawless base, Future Skin Foundation in Alabaster ($76) was applied sparingly alternating between a brush and a BeautyBlender ($20) for varying amounts of coverage where needed.

3. Le Camoflauge Stylo Concealer ($52) was applied to areas of Kirsten’s face that needed extra coverage or brightening.

4. Compact Makeup in Peach ($70) was applied to Kirsten’s skin in a circular motion using Chantecaille’s Kabuki Brush ($70) to control shine and set her foundation.

5. Compact Soleil in St. Barth’s ($46) was added to the high points of Kirsten’s cheekbones as well as her forehead for added dimension and a warm glow.

6. Jillian used her fingers to blend in Cheek Crème in Coy, a soft apricot, ($26) to the apples of Kirsten’s cheeks for a healthy pop of color.

TIP FROM JILLIAN: “One of the things I spend the most time perfecting is complexion. I obsess over blending the products so they achieve a balance between concealing and becoming one with the skin. A trick for achieving more consistent coverage and to deliver warmth is to dust a super light bronzer around the hairline and all over the face.”

EYES:
1. Jillian applied Luster Glide Eyeliner in Black Forrest ($30) to Kirsten’s upper and bottom lash lines for a dramatic effect.

2. Jillian generously applied Chantecaille Eye Shade in Titanium ($26) to give the eyes a sultry smoky look. She then added Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Smoke ($28) with a nylon brush on top of the shadow to catch the light of the red carpet and add sheen to Kirsten’s eyelids.

3. Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara ($72) was applied in a vertical motion to lift the eyelashes and make the eyes pop.

LIPS:
1. Jillian applied an opaque layer of Chantecaille Lipstick in Cerise ($38) for Kirsten’s flattering bright bold red lip.

All Chantecaille products are available at Chantecaille.
