Panasonic Facial Ionic Steamer Review

As an advocate for taking care of one’s skin, The Makeup Examiner is always on the lookout for quality innovations and products. This led TME to Panasonic’s latest offering in skincare … Panasonic EH-SA31VP Facial Ionic Steamer. An affordable, at home, spa-quality facial steamer -- is it possible? Panasonic actually did produce an at home facial steamer, that was rather large and expensive, but moving on.

The first thing I noticed about the Facial Ionic Steamer is its sleek lightweight design that offers precision functionality. Operation of the steamer is simple: add water, turn it on, and place your face in steam. With fill lines prominently display, you can’t overfill or under fill the device and a full session is a quick 6-minute commitment.

So, what are the benefits of an ionic facial steamer? Heat opens pores, allowing for deep cleansing to occur. Ionic facial steaming naturally moisturizes, increases skin’s elasticity leading to an improvement in skin texture and the overall look of the skin. All of this is accomplished via the release of ultra-fine, nano-sized particles of steam, which are 4,000 times smaller then steam emitted from hot water in your bathroom sink.

After the first use of the Facial Ionic Steamer, my skin felt cleansed and refreshed sans the use of any chemicals. After several weeks of using the Facial Ionic Steamer, I’ve noticed an improvement in the look of my skin with a decrease in those fine lines around my eyes. One important thing to note is that although Panasonic recommends using distilled or purified water, I found that plain tap water works just as well.

Features:
  • Sleek Design
  • Easy Storage
  • Quick Six-Minute Commitment
  • Deep Cleans and Moisturizes Skin sans chemicals
  • Refillable water tank makes it easy to use time and time again

The Panasonic EH-SA31VP Facial Ionic Steamer is available at Panasonic.

How To Get Stunning Eyes For Valentine’s Day

Hi lovelies! It’s time to start prepping for that big night out … Valentine’s Day! And no matter whether you’re going out with your beau or the girls, you want to look your best, right? Aside from mega lashes being the hottest trend for S/S 2013, a gorgeous set of lashes makes our eyes really pop. This in conjunction with well-groomed eyebrows, are the finishing touches for any makeup look. While we can always opt to go with falsies, the Makeup Examiner has found four companies that make going the “natural” route easy.

LashEm offers a fantastic Eye Am Beautiful set ($189) that contains Measurable Difference Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum for those with sparse lashes and brows, Colour Strokes Liquid Eyeliner that offers a fantastic delivery of the lash enhancing serum and Double Trouble Mascara that contains flexible cotton fibers for that falsie look without the falsie hassle. Also include in the set is Picture Perfect Advanced Facial Cream that is designed to protect your lashes and 3-in-1 Eye Bright which reduces under-eye puffiness. Basically if you begin the LashEm regime now, by Valentine’s Day you should have fuller, longer, and healthier natural lashes.

Continuing on with a solid, healthy eyelash regime we have Panasonic’s Heated Eyelash Curler ($29.99). The Makeup Examiner really loves this particular eyelash curler, as it does a phenomenal job of curling lashes without pulling on them in any fashion. The curler has a wand tip that heats lashes and curls them with a 360-degree rotator. Place the wand at your lash line and work your way up to the end of your lashes.

Next, you’re going to want to apply mascara. For mess-free mascara application, check out Lash Cards ($6.99/pack of 10). Lash Cards serve a dual purpose for mascara application by helping to keep that lash curl as you apply your mascara and also keeping mascara off of your lid. Place the card at your lash line, and then grab LashEm’s Double Trouble Mascara. First apply one coat of lengthening, let dry and then apply one coat of volumizing for perfect lashes. Voil√†, perfect lashes!

Of course, no look is complete sans nicely groomed brows because after all eyebrows frame our eyes and open them up. Anastasia Beverly Hills 5-Element Brow Kit ($65.00) has been featured on Dr. Oz and makes getting the perfect brow an absolute cinch. The kit includes Precision Tweezers (the best tweezers ever!), Brow Powder Duo (available in 5 shades), Brow Stencils (Set of 5 shapes), Mini Duo Brush #7 and Clear Brow Gel. In addition, the kit includes instructions about how to obtain the perfect brow shape. Check out an amazing how-to video, with Anastasia, HERE!
