As an advocate for taking care of one’s skin, The Makeup
Examiner is always on the lookout for quality innovations and products. This
led TME to Panasonic’s latest offering in skincare … Panasonic EH-SA31VP Facial
Ionic Steamer. An affordable, at home, spa-quality facial steamer -- is it
possible? Panasonic actually did produce an at home facial steamer, that was
rather large and expensive, but moving on.
The first thing I noticed about
the Facial Ionic Steamer is its sleek lightweight design that offers precision
functionality. Operation of the steamer is simple: add water, turn it on, and
place your face in steam. With fill lines prominently display, you can’t
overfill or under fill the device and a full session is a quick 6-minute
commitment.
So, what are the benefits of an ionic facial steamer? Heat
opens pores, allowing for deep cleansing to occur. Ionic facial steaming
naturally moisturizes, increases skin’s elasticity leading to an improvement in
skin texture and the overall look of the skin. All of this is accomplished via
the release of ultra-fine, nano-sized particles of steam, which are 4,000 times
smaller then steam emitted from hot water in your bathroom sink.
After the first use of the Facial Ionic Steamer, my skin
felt cleansed and refreshed sans the use of any chemicals. After several weeks
of using the Facial Ionic Steamer, I’ve noticed an improvement in the look of
my skin with a decrease in those fine lines around my eyes. One important thing
to note is that although Panasonic recommends using distilled or purified
water, I found that plain tap water works just as well.
