Fresh Joins (RED) For World Aids Day

Today, December 1, is World AIDS Day and in an ongoing effort to raise funds and awareness Fresh has announced a partnership with (RED), the organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise money and awareness to fight AIDS in Africa. The launch of SUGA(RED) Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 is a first-of-its-kind collaboration for two reasons -- it is (RED)’s first-ever partnership with a beauty brand and it is Fresh’s first product that gives back.

This collaboration comes at a pivotal time in Fresh’s history, as the brand is about to turn 25. With this important milestone, Fresh is celebrating the past and taking an important step forward. The limited-edition SUGA(RED) Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 ($22.50) is Fresh’s beloved colorless lip treatment wrapped in red to support the fight against AIDS. SUGA(RED) moisturizes, protects, and smoothes the lips with an exclusive blend of moisture-preserving sugar, antioxidant-rich oils, vitamins C and E, and essential SPF protection. But the most beautiful benefit is that for every purchase of SUGA(RED), 25% of the retail price will go to the US Fund for the Global Fund, which can provide more than 2 weeks of life-saving HIV/AIDS medication in sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, because this year is the 10th anniversary for (RED), every dollar (RED) raises this year will be matched by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation -- up to $50 million. Therefore, 50% of each Suga(RED) purchased will be donated*

MAC honors World AIDS Day

In honor of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 MAC cosmetics will double the donation of your online Viva Glam purchase. What a perfect reason to treat yourself to MAC’s amazing products and all orders will receive free standard shipping with any purchase.

Since its inception, many celebrities have signed on to the Viva Glam campaign. Most recently Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin, both of which have created exclusive Viva Glam cosmetics. Further, Minaj and Martin managed to raise an impressive $250 million since joining the Viva Glam MAC AIDS Fund campaign.

World AIDS Day Viva Glam products:
  • Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick ($15)
  • Viva Glam Lipstick ($15)
  • Viva Glam Nicki Lipglass ($15)
  • Viva Glam Tinted Lipglass ($15)
  • Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner ($15)
  • Viva Glam It Up Bag ($30)

As Viva Glam spokespeople, Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj want young people everywhere to be bold and learn the facts about HIV/AIDS, be beautiful by caring for those most impacted and be safe when making sexual choices. Only 40 percent of adolescents have accurate knowledge about HIV/AIDS and how it spreads. As every cent from the sales goes toward helping those affected by HIV and AIDS, Viva Glam is a fabulous way to look amazing and help.

The MAC AIDS Fund via MAC Cosmetics has launched seven exclusive Viva Glam product lines. Each featuring a limited advertising campaign with celebrity superstars such as RuPaul, K.D. Lang, Lil’ Kim, Sir Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Shirley Manson, Linda Evangelista, Boy George, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Pamela Anderson, Lisa Marie Presley, Debbie Harry, Eve, Dita Von Teese, Fergie, Cyndi Lauper, and Lady Gaga. The amazing Viva Glam collection can be at MAC.
